Excellent product. When screwing in the hinges though, it might be a good idea to swap out the center screw with a slightly longer one. Otherwise, they tend to pop out when closing the bench cover.

    • IT’S BEAUTIFUL, AND PRACTICAL. PERFECT FOR WHAT I NEEDED
I was looking for a low bench to put at the foot of my bed. I have 2 teddy bears, from my childhood, and a few dolls, too, that needed a place to sit in my bedroom. I didn’t want to set them on the bed...as I don’t want to have to remove them every night, then put them back each morning. I saw this piece, and knew it would be perfect. I love the “industrial” style...in fact, I purchased 2 end tables & 1 other table for the living room last year, and I think this bench might be from the same company. I’ve had so many compliments on all of these pieces. HOWEVER, don’t be put off if the industrial style isn’t your style. It.goes very well with antiques, farmhouse decor, and would look smashing with Danish, modern, and many other trends. So far, we haven’t had a problem with missing parts (there’s usually more than you’ll need), no scratches or shoddy framework, etc. The shoe rack underneath, and the storage top of my bench wasn’t a priority for me, but I’m happy to have the extra storage they provide. My son assembled all of industrial pieces I’ve purchased through AMAZON, and he didn’t find it a difficult job at all. I’d recommend this storage bench to anyone.. It is sturdy, attractive and multi functional. We are actually using it as a coffee table in a small space. It was difficult to put together and came missing a screw, which required a long trip to a hardware store. We live in a rural area so that was a problem. First off, Its not even real wood. So we're already starting off on a lie right there. secondly, as soon as I opened the box and saw the bag of tiny little screws, I started to wonder how on earth these tiny useless looking screws would hold up anything. Unfortunately for me, my suspicions were correct as those tiny useless looking screws turned out to be just that. Tiny and completely useless. I had the entire thing set up and my first attempt opening the lid? The lid is off and one of the hinges came apart. I ended up having to scrap those two tiny screws it came with and using a longer one I had at home to make it more sturdy. Yet the other tiny useless screws "holding" the lid to the hinge are ALSO falling off one by one. I had the entire thing set up shortly after it got delivered, and not even an hour after its built, its already coming apart. I truly wish I was somehow aware at the poor quality of this product since taking it apart and dropping it off to return it is going to be extremely difficult for me. The absolute audacity for this company / seller to sell this low quality item for a whopping $119 Amazon's quality has really taken a hit and this company and this product is part of the problem. Save yourself the money, the headache, and frustration, and go but something that is actually worth your hard earned money. This thing is worth $40 at best. 🙄 I've already messaged the seller and will update this review depending on what happens. ... show more
