This unit goes together easy enough but if you plan to hang anything off the included hooks, you'll need to brace it as it will start to lean forward and eventually break. I used .3" metal pipe brackets to secure it to a back wall to keep it from leaning inwards.

Purchased this as a solution for my daughter who didnt want to use a traditional shoe holder. One of the pieces bent just trying to put it together. With the amount of pressure you have to use to put together I would have expected a little bit more sturdy pieces.
