This set is stunning. The green handles are just beautiful and the feel in your hand is just as nice. Haven't used them yet, but can't see why they won't perform wonderfully as well. Already own Hexclad skillets, and love them as well. Quality products.

I have to say, I am blown away by the HexClad Japanese Damascus Stainless Steel Carving Knife and Fork Set. This is hands down one of the best knife and fork sets I have ever used. The quality of the materials and the attention to detail is just spectacular. The steel is beautiful, and the handles are exceptional. Let's start with the 10-inch blade. It's forged from Damascus stainless steel, which is known for its strength and durability. And let me tell you, this blade is sharp! I was able to easily cut through a thick slab of roast beef with no effort at all. The blade also has a beautiful pattern of Damascus steel that adds to the overall impressive aesthetic of the set. Just holding the knife, you feel the quality. The end of the blade has a rounded end, which I prefer over sharp, pointed carving knifes. I can also use this for bread or vegetables. They all cut cleanly, no smashing, just good clean cuts. When it comes time to sharpen the blade it looks to have a good professional edge and should be a breeze to sharpen. Meanwhile, a quick touch up with a chef honing rods restores sharpness between uses. And then there's the fork. The 2-pronged fork is also made from the same high-quality materials as the knife, and is perfect for holding meat steady while carving. The fork is well-balanced and feels sturdy in your hand. It's also worth noting that the fork is long enough to hold larger cuts of meat, which is something I really appreciate. But what really sets this set apart, in my opinion, are the handles. The ergonomic forest green Pakkawood handles are just stunning. They not only look great, but they also provide a comfortable grip. I was able to easily hold and maneuver the knife and fork without any discomfort or slipping. And let me tell you, I was carving up a storm! Another thing I love about this set is how easy it is to clean. The handles are designed to be easy to clean and maintain, which is a massive plus. I just washed them with some warm, soapy water and they were good as new. Overall, I am amazed by the quality of this product. This high-end, high-quality set emphasizes both functionality and beautiful presentation. The craftsmanship of this set is outstanding, with the wooden and metal portions flowing together seamlessly. Only the carving knife features the beautiful yet subtle Damascus pattern. Upon closer inspection, the patterning is not just etched or printed on, as is often the case with lesser "Damascus" knives. The blade has a Granton edge, which are oval-shaped indents that create air pockets that prevent food from sticking and promote a smoother carving experience. To test this set, my wife graciously made a whole roast chicken, and we carved it effortlessly. I could slice thin and even pieces without tearing or shredding. The knife and fork are super sharp out of the box, and I appreciate how the blade is smooth and easy to use with a honing steel. The HexClad is my first knife set with Pakkawood, and I was surprised to learn that it's an engineered composite that combines wood with resin. I was initially concerned about natural hardwood's durability and water resistance, so it was a relief to learn that Pakkawood combines wood's beauty and synthetic materials' durability. To be honest, I think the forest green finish looks kind of weird, but I can't argue with the comfortable grip and perfect balance. Overall, this HexClad Japanese Damascus Stainless Steel Carving Knife and Fork Set is top-of-the-line and features impressive performance and craftsmanship. The knife looks like a piece of art, and both pieces come in separate gift boxes that can serve double duty for storage and transport. In terms of value, you can almost certainly find something that nearly cuts nearly as well for half the money, but if presentation matters, you can't go wrong with this set.
