I wanted a heart shaped light for my kitchen window and this is the perfect size (8” x 8”) The cord is long enough to go to the nearest outlet by the sink. The line from the heart to the little battery box is about 36”. The second line from the battery box to the USB is about 37”, so a total of 73” from the light to the outlet. As is mentioned in previous reviews, a USB block is needed to plug into the wall. I’ve left the heart light plugged in for about 24 hrs and it has not felt hot to the touch, so am confident that it will be safe to be left on. Note that this is not a typical night light, but it does glow brightly enough to light up the area around it. Also, as can be seen in my pictures, the pink light shines on both sides, front and back. I enjoy each holiday and this light will be a fun new addition to Valentines Day. ... show more

Needed a nightlight for the garage so my wife can see when pulling in late. Had one, clipped the wire somehow, bought another one at WalMart then found out it was battery, no plug. This one has the option of battery but also has a USB plug that I can use with my smart plug. It's a pleasing shape, and a bright red color (nice because it doesn't dull your night vision). I got this for my window for valentines day. It is so cute! My neighborhood kids love it. it glows pretty brightly as well out the window! It is slightly more purple than a true pink but not as purple as other led options I've seen so that's good!

I just received this today. The box looked like it was not new. It was missing 3 of the hooks, and the one in the box isn't adhesive. There was a tiny piece of velcro (just one side) on the back so it looks like someone tried to hang it up and then returned it. But it lights up with batteries.
