  • Good for house windows. Not too sure about car windows
The film was easy to install but very difficult to trim the excess once installed on the window. There is a very little bit of distortion, but not noticeable until you get right up to the window. That's why I would not recommend this for auto windows. Easy to apply and installation was very easy. The only problem that I encountered with this film that was different from other brands was that it came rolled with a paper in between and there was no protective film that had to be peeled away, so lint and all types of debris could get stuck on the film unless you washed it really good prior to fitting it to the glass. Lot of soapy water used. ... show more

  • Works great. Wish it didn't have streaks in the film
Size: 24" x 212"
Recommend getting this. With it being static cling, it's much easier to install. Just be sure to follow the directions. It is a thicker material than most but it really does its job. It blocks the heat out well and trims up pretty well. Helps with cooling costs on a home that gets full sun. Only negative I have is that it has streaks in the film. Thought after a few days in direct sunlight, they would go away, but they don't. It has a bit of a blurred view when you look out the windows. ... show more

  • Easy to install and cuts down on glare and heat
I bought this to cut down on glare in my home office, as I have a sliding door that faces my computer that would cause me to stop work when the sun would bounce into my view. It was easy to install and really helped the situation. Of course, now I have no excuse to stop work so there's that... :) I was very easy to install and even though I was worried that the air bubbles would be a problem, they were gone within a day. From inside, you can barely notice that there is film on the window. However, it does a really good job in filtering the sun. ... show more

  • Don’t apply this to a window you want to enjoy the view.
Size: 24" x 120"
Windows were thoroughly cleaned. Installation of 49x90” film was very difficult. Finally got it all squeegeed as per directions. The result is a blurry window view. Not sure yet about keeping heat out. Not a happy customer.

  • DONE THE ENTIRE HOUSE...
Size: 48" x 212"
The media could not be loaded. F0R THOSE WHO LEFT A BAD REVIEW: It takes days for the water between the glass and film to dry, until then the window will appear cloudy. When the sun hits the window, 50% of the heat and UV light is absorbed which makes the film visible. The film is the thickness required to do the job right. Once applied it will bond to the glass over time. The cling factor allows for permanence yet is easily removed even years later. However this "cling" means never ever let.the film come in contact with itself during application. In the long run the nightmare of removal of films with glue backing is thankfully avoided. ..time over a year and we are very pleased. My wife and I learned a few essentials as we went through each window large to very large. FIRST we keep the paper backing on until the film is applied onto a drenched window with water and a bit of dish detergent. SECOND: Before using the "swidgy" we drenched the outside of the film. It's easy to slide it into position and the water on the outside makes it easy to push the bubbles out. THIRD: We then use the small stiff squeedgy to move the water to the outer edges of the film. There is always time to pull the film away in areas to spray more solution. If the film backs onto itself and lounge just pull up and separate no problem. FOURTH: We discovered that cutting the top and sides to size make things much easier. We leave an extra inch at the bottom which is easily cut off. We did our last eight windows 27×27 in less than twelve minutes each without a flaw. The right cutter is essential since the film is not set yet....don't spare the blades!!! ... show more

  • It kinda worked?
The film stuck at first, but peels very easily bc it is so thick, It needs to be thinner, as any pressure against it bunches it up.

  • Very happy with this product
I bought this over a year ago for the windows in my wildlife rehab room. The 2 windows are each 48” x 58” and the afternoon sun makes the room really hot even with curtains. I thought it was going to be a major project and kept putting it off. Last week I decided to go ahead and install it and I have to admit it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Since I had to do it by myself I used a small piece of double stick tape at the 2 top corners and sprayed a lot of the soapy water on the windows. After I got it lined up on one side I just kept spraying soapy water on the film and smoothing out the bubbles. When I had everything the way I wanted it I trimmed it with a razor knife. Honestly that was the hardest part because the razor didn’t cut very smoothly. The tint was still very easy to see out and I noticed a big difference in the room temperature and glare reduction that afternoon when we get really strong sun in there. I’m completely satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend it ... show more
