This window film is gorgeous and leaves beautiful rainbows all around the house. It's fairly easy to apply, even for one person (would probably be easier with two). Definitely use a straight edge when trimming the edges; it's easy to cut unevenly using a razor blade on its own. Don't worry about the edges curling up a bit upon first application; after I let the film sit for a night mine flattened out nicely. Not completely opaque (see pics), but definitely good enough that all you can see is vague shapes ata distance. I saw this in a video and was apprehensive about being influenced, but this turned out better than I thought it would! It really helps add a sense of privacy, and it looks really gorgeous. Any light source--sun, neighbors' foyer lights, indoor lights--now splash a ring of rainbows across this window. Also, the powerful Texas sunlight now comes in through this window as indirect light, making it easier to sit next to it. We tested the privacy. My wife appears as a faint silhouette if she's a few inches away. If she puts her hand right against the window, then it becomes clearly visible. Overall she feels quite comfortable being naked in the room without closing the blinds. Applying this film was somewhat annoying at first. It took some practice to get it to go on without leaving ripples behind. However, once we learned how to work with it, it was easy to apply the rest. We want this in the future for our forever home!     • Beautiful Aesthetic, Decent Privacy – Great for the Bathroom!

I bought the privacy film mainly to add some privacy to my bathroom window, but also for the decorative effect, and it has delivered on both fronts! Installation was a bit tricky, especially doing it alone. I highly recommend having two people on hand for the job. The squeegee they include worked okay but unfortunately, it broke after just two windows. Spraying a lot of water helped get the film in place, and once I positioned it correctly, the static cling worked really well. Privacy-wise, I'd rate it about 80%. It blocks most of the view from outside but doesn’t give complete privacy—people can still see your figure through the window, so it’s not totally opaque. However, it lets in a lot of natural light, which I really appreciate. One of the standout features is how beautiful the rainbow reflections look when the sun hits the film during the day. It adds a really nice decorative touch that I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this much. There were no bubbles left after application, as I made sure to squeeze out all the water. So far, the film is holding up well without any peeling. Cutting the film was easy, too—you just need a sharp pair of scissors or a box cutter to get clean edges. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for anyone looking to add privacy and a decorative flair, especially for bathrooms or any space where privacy is needed but you still want some light to shine through. ... show more

I was a little disappointed when I opened the box & unrolled the film. I thought it looked really plain & I didn’t see how it would live up to the pictures, but I put it up anyway figuring it was better than nothing. I haven’t been able to stop looking at it since. I put it up on an overcast day, but it still looked pretty on the window. Night is even better as shown in my pictures. I can’t wait for summer when the sun shines through that window in the afternoon & lights up the room in rainbows. It will be spectacular.     • Doesn’t stop glare

It’s a very nice quality and easy to put up. The three windows above my television cause glare and difficulty seeing the TV. I bought a roll of the clear. It is beautiful and easy to install. But unfortunately, it didn’t block enough of the light. I bought a roll of silver. There is not much difference between the clear and the silver. What finally worked was using one of each, in each window. It is still pretty and some lighter rainbows are visible, but it does much better at stopping some of the light. ... show more
