Cute it to size and clean your windows well. Then spray your window and get it really wet. Peel the backing off half way and put it where you want it. Start on the top and work down. I bought this item hoping to use it to finish my miniature terrain pieces (40k Battle Sisters themed sanctuary ruins) and to simulate stained glass windows. Part of what I liked about this specific product was the smaller/tighter designs so that it still looked like stained glass windows all the way down to the 32mm scale that it was to represent. With that said, I happened to also have a thin window in my dining room that was just a foot over floor height that always left our home a bit more "exposed" than I wanted (city home) and used a section of this for that window, and it instantly made the window private, but retained it's ability to light in to the room, and it was such a wonderful "bonus" given why I bought the item in the first place. So while this review was more about why I specifically bought it, the products real intent was to be used in a window, and since I have since done that with the extra I still had leftover, I can assert that as long as the design fits your desire, you will be satisfied with its results. The only thing one might be inclined to complain about is installation, but only if you neglect to acknowledge that there is a protective clear sheet that needs to be removed before attempting to apply it to a window, and starting the removal of this film can be frustrating until you figure out a method that works for you, but once that is accomplished, installation becomes an easy process, and instantly transformative! I plan to get more, and different designs as I have a few more windows I would like to "obscure" with something prettier than what is visible out of them.... while retaining much of the natural light that comes in through them! ... show more

Doesn't even deserve one star that's all it gives me that's the lowest I got this product because I don't like mirrors so I wanted to cover the mirrors and I received it it looked nice I tried to put it up it didn't stick I followed the instructions still didn't stick just worthless and I wanted to return it but due to the fact that I already took it out and put it up and cut it I can't return it so I'm out $10 but no big deal it was a lesson learned wouldn't recommend getting it ... show more

Darker than pictured so it does offer privacy but not a lot of light in so it does not give the look pictured or desired. Went up with ease but started coming off within 24 hours on freshly cleaned windows.

I am giving this product a 5 star even though not all my comments may seem positive. Keep in mind, the issues were more the user (Me), than the product. I bought this to make my cars sunroof appear stain-glass. If you follow the directions correctly the first time(I did not), it adheres great. Also, read the description carefully before ordering it (I did not). The one I purchased has a frosty look, not a shinny look. The project did turn out good. I live in Arizona, where the temp. has been over a 100 for the past month, and it is holding up great. The frosty look did take me some time to get used to, but I still love i ... show more
