  • nearly purrrrfect, cats love it, i love it
bye bye prettylitter ... HELLO FURBULOUS .as you can see, my cats took to it right away. after they checked it out? they figured out how to get in and out easily, do their potty time, exit. im 98% sure they like it much more than a traditional box. my long boi fits inside quite easily (as seen in pics) and his sister likes to "maliciously comply clean" so she can paw everything safely with no worries of the mechanism trapping her. it has weight and movement sensors. kitty's weight and duration of potty time are sent in a notification with the app. helpful for watching their health. so much less litter tracking or kick outs. packaged so well!! unboxing, assembly, set-up, all simply done. sometimes there are little glitches, but always easily fixable. the auto cleaning is fantastic!! safety features work very well. the scent discs are nice, not perfume-ish. just a natural clean scent. the bag packing can sometimes be a little off, but nothing major at all. no weird underneath unit trays. packs and seals to the side tray, easily retrieved. the "big name robo litter machine made by (common word for vibrissae)" is made a few cities over from me, robotics is big here. i felt zero guilt supporting other engineers that did it for 60% less in price. ... show more

  • Hasn't worked right once. **Update** 7/29/24
**Update 7/29/24** After working with Furbulous' customer service team, they shipped out a replacement box. I was told I could keep the malfunctioning box and use the replacement sensor I was shipped to repair it. The sensor is coming from China and has yet to arrive, however I'm looking forward to giving this a try. I was also shipped some of their proprietary bags for the litter box as an apology. So far the new box has been working as advertised -- will continue to update the review as things progress. ------------------------------------------------------ I wanted to like this box. The design is straight forward, it's simple enough to understand and operate. Perhaps the only thing I didn't like about it up front was that it requires the use of specific bags that can only be acquired through the manufacturer to work as intended. Ended up on sale for prime day and I pulled the trigger. Here's how my experience went: Unboxing and setting this up was extremely simple. All the extra parts came packaged in the pull out drawer for the trash. I removed the orb so that I could pour litter into it, rather than have to scoop the litter into it, as once in place, there's no way to load cat litter into the device due to the angle of the opening. This is a bit of an oversight in the items development. But, not enough to be -that- off putting. I installed the waste bags and then replaced the cover / hood before plugging the unit in. Every time the unit is unplugged, it goes through a sensor check, no issues occured. After it was finished, I created an account for the app on my phone and began the syncing process, which was painless. There's no option to manually update the firmware of the device in the app. Under the firmware option, it'll only tell you what version you're running with no way to push that update via the app or the unit itself. Assuming the unit was fine, I introduced my cat's to the box, who didn't have any issues taking to the new litter box. However, after one of my cats used the unit for the first time I received a notice on my app after the unit went through a 'cleaning' cycle (it scooped the box and dumped it into the trash bag). Once this process finishes, I'm sent an error code E13. While this error displayed, it locked out the menu buttons on the unit and wouldn't allow for a software restart. Thinking it was something on my end, I unplugged the unit, took the top off and began thoroughly looking over the unit before reassembling and plugging back in. When it restarted, it went through it's usual sensor and balancing check and no longer showed the error. This exact same issue occured after my other cat decided to use the box shortly after the first. So I wrote customer service, explaining what I had encountered. They assured me that the E13 issue was nothing to be concerned about and that a firmware update would resolve this issue. This process requires me to get my MAC address for the device and give it to their customer service representative so they could push the update to the device. One update later I followed the instructions which had me unplug the unit for a minute after the update had finished and then plug the unit back in. Once more the unit went through it's sensor and balance check. Once more the E13 code was cleared. Half an hour later, one of my cats used the unit again and the same E13 returned locking up the box. I immediately sent another email to customer service, who told me to "Unplug the device and plug it back in. Then if it continues to occur, send them photos of the code and the serial number." Following their instructions, this temporarily reset the unit, clearing the code until the box went through this cycle yet again. While I waited for one of my cats to use the box again so I could follow up, I spent my time deep diving the issue. There really isn't a lot online regarding this issue. However, I found a foreign version of the manufacturer's website that had a lost of device error codes and their "resolutions". I sent a screen shot of this as well as my serial number back to customer service as soon as the error returned. (I've included this screen shot in the photos). It started that the ultrasonic sensor has failed and the only fix is to replace the unit. Despite me citing this directly to their customer service team, they insisted that they have to run the problem through their engineering team, who won't be in until Monday. (This was all happening during the course of a Friday). And if they need to replace the unit, they would, after. I considered returning the item as defective directly through Amazon, however there wasn't a replacement option available -- only a refund option, which means that I would have to reorder a new unit and would lose out on the discount that I had received from prime day as the promotion had ended. So here I sit, with a neigh unless litter box that I spent several hundred dollars on -- plugging and unplugging any time I get a notification that it's been used and now has the E13 error. ... show more

  • WHAT A FLOP!!! < REVIEW UPDATE >
Color: White
>>> This is an update to my first review <<< Originally I was disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience with the auto-packing litter box, getting support was difficult and out of frustration I decided to return it. Some days later, I was contacted by phone by a person affiliated with the Furbulous brand and expressed their concern regarding my negative experience. He was very polite and genuinely interested in my experience asked me several questions and ultimately apologized for the lack of support I had encountered. Long story short, he went to great lengths to turn around my experience and began to explain what the brand was willing to do to correct the situation and turn the whole negative experience into a positive outcome. I have to admit, the end customer service was fantastic and Furbulous has gone beyond the scope of goodwill to just make it all better. I am grateful and will soon have another auto package litter box for me to have the chance to use it longer term and I will be offering more updates to my whole experience and that of our three cats as well. For now, I am changing my original single-star review for a five-star only because these people went to great lengths to personally contact me and offer their support and helped me turn what would otherwise be a bad experience into a surprisingly unique story worth sharing with others. < OLD REVIEW > ( This portion of the review will be deleted soon, I only want to leave it for a bit for others to appreciate the contrast between my two sides' experiences) I had high hopes for this auto packing litter box, I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately, it did not. It made such a mess that I instantly lost all desire to even deal with it. I had the decency to clean up the mess to return it only because it is biological waste and couldn’t just ship it back this way, but just look at the photos and see for yourself. It never let me know the bag was full until it was literally overflowing as clearly visible in the photos. If you want to risk it, go right ahead! But for a $400 + device I expect it to work as advertised right out the box with no issues. ... show more

  • Died with the first month.
It already was very finicky with if it wanted to cycle or not. But today after auto pack it just vacuums - power failure - vacuums - power failure and just repeats that cycle until you unplug it. Plug it back in and it continues the same thing. I wanted this to be good. I had the Litter robot 3 for 5 years before my cat destroyed the inside. So I got this as a replacement. I wish I didn't. TL:DR Got it to replace Litter Robot after 5 years just for this to die in a month. ... show more
