I bought the 32 x 32 AC cover and it covered my 2 ton AC top perfectly without covering my sides of the air conditioner too much. The cover is made very well and is durable. TIP - the bungee cords that come with the cover are cheap and have metal hooks, I do not recommend using these bungee cords because the metal hooks WILL corrode over time leaving rust marks on your AC. I recommend buying 4-6 inch bungee cords off Amazon with the plastic hooks. ... show more

A nice alternative to the full coverage covers. My HVAC guy always said to just cover the top for winter but none like this cover is available locally. This fits the bill! Can't comment on its durability as it's only been in use for a few months.

This fit our 2.5 ton Carrier air conditioner that was installed new in May 2019. The cover seemed to be helpful, I thought. After all, it will reduce rain and snow coming in from the top. But I am not so sure the cover really is helpful. At the 3 year mark the contactor unit failed in this outside Carrier unit and the air conditioning wouldn't turn on. For the air conditioner to run the contactor in the outside unit must receive the signal from the unit and controls inside the house and then relay it back inside. The repairman didn't think the cover caused the failure. He put a new contactor inside the outside unit and I think it was in an enclosed area inside of it. But I am not so sure moisture wasn't a factor. I had noticed some slight rust on the outside unit's metal top after taking the cover off, and I think there has been moisture collection inside near the top of the unit at times with the cover on. Carrier probably chose the slats on the sides and at the top for maximum evaporation, so leaving the unit uncovered might be best. Carrier's engineers probably designed the vent or slat areas and size carefully. I read somewhere a while ago that the larger covers that come almost all the way over and down the units are believed by technicians to have damaged some outside air conditioning units or made them age faster from moisture inside. ... show more

Hubby really likes this cover for our newer Carrier 28โ€ AC unit. Easy install. An extra bungee strap was included. We got navy. Iโ€™m told youโ€™re not supposed to cover unit all the way to ground because creates moisture problem as well as animal problem, so this cover is perfect for our Ohio blizzards. We used a similar cover made of mesh on our Trane unit when we lived in Florida, and it did a great job of keeping leaves and debris out as well as discouraging rodents and lizards from calling our AC their home. ... show more

I should have gotten this a long time ago. The braintrust that built my house decided it would be a good idea to plant a eucalyptus tree right hear the front door, looming over the a/c condenser. But the end of winter, there is about 3lbs of leaves and seed husks piled up on the inside, so I need to take it apart each year to clean it out. Should have got this a long time ago. ... show more
