This is a decent kids scooter. It caps out at 13mph and if you're going down hill and going too fast, it automatically slows down (auto brake) so it doesn't go over 13mph. You kick off to get it to 3mph (just takes 1 kick) then you can push the button to accelerate. It does a decent job going up hills too. If you trust your kids to not panic, it's a nice scooter for them. It's pretty simple. Let go of the trigger and it starts slowing down. There's a hand brake and the normal foot brake as well. You can't turn the handle all the way around, so you do have to make somewhat wide corners when turning, but that prevents you from accidentally cutting your turn too short and falling. It has a pretty decent battery life. The older kids could go faster than it if they went all out in a race, but they were able to beat the 8 and 11 year old easily with it. Going down hill, it was a closer race as the scooter would auto brake and theirs were going with the momentum more. Overall, it's a nice scooter for the kids. They enjoyed playing with it and when they finished, we just plugged it in to charge. ... show more

I'm 5'5" and about 118lbs, so I thought this would be interesting to try. 1 mile round trip left me with two bars of battery left from a full charge, so I would be scared to use this for the full range. I rode on the sidewalk, which was bumpy enough in one section that I had to get off the scooter and walk over that patch. However, this scooter is not robust enough, nor does it contain enough safety features (rear and front lights) to be safe on the streets. I would only recommend this for a child or teenager who lives in a suburb with nice sidewalks, or who will be using it primarily on a trail or smooth surface (e.g. parking lot). The foot board is tiny and although it has power (I reached 13 mph easily), it is not made for the streets. That was plain to see as I passed 2-3 rideshare scooters. ... show more

I am so pleased with this scooter! It is such a great one for a child, preferably between the ages of 9 through 12. It isn't a heavy-duty electric scooter so it's not heavy, but it definitely has the durability to sustain a large amount of weight and pressure. The tires look to be in such great form. This scooter goes up to 12 miles per hour which is great. You get to where you need to go fast. It zips and zooms very smoothly. You don't feel any hiccups at all. The brake handle works well. It immediately allows you to slow down. The kickstand allows it to stay upright without fear of it tipping over. The frame is made of aluminum alloy. No worries on it bending or not performing or being damaged. You can definitely tell this scooter was made with a lot of thought. The torque motor keeps it running so well. You don't even hear it like you do the cheaper ones. The best thing about this scooter is that it folds, saving you storage space and offering convenience. ... show more

This scooter is cool. It not heavy and is portable. The front part of it easily folds down and locks into place allowing it to be used as a handle to carry the scooter. This scooter was powerful enough to ride myself half a mile and I weigh. Somewhere in-between 160-170 pounds. The scooter needs to be going at a certain speed before it gives power, and has three power settings. I use sports mode because I'm bigger than a child and I felt like I was going at a decent speed. It flung my foot back when I felt I should give it a few pushes to help it out and since I didn't want to look like a nut, being grown, and fast ssooting around town on a child's electric scooter, i decided to just enjoy the ride. It rides well; bumps are a little scary and I try to lift the front wheel over uneven pavement for stability, although this scooter is stable. On the handlebar is the power button and thumb throttle, with a charging port on the back. After my ride, the digital display showed the battery, still at 4 bars. I charged it and it was completed in some minutes. It's a great scooter and especially for heavier kids. Below my weight should be able to ride at max speed. ... show more

This is a pretty great scooter. I wish I would have had one as a kid. I used to love to use my scooter even though it wasn't electric. This thing can move pretty well. Even as an adult it moves me around pretty well. The controls are pretty easy to use and the adjustable handle is great. It is very sturdy and I like that it folds up to help store it. This is an awesome little scooter. We got it for our 9 year old daughter. It seems sturdier than other scooters we've had before. It was super fast, easy, and intuitive to set up. There's a couple different height settings for the handle bars. It folds down really easy. There's front and back breaks. My daughter loves the little bell on the handlebars. The display shows battery state of charge, current speed, and the "mode"...which is either "E" for eco, "N" for normal, or "S" for sport. Very happy with this scooter. So I have tested many scooters small and large and this one has a good build quality, I am 205 lbs and it propelled me so I think a child will have no problems with it. From unboxing it and charging from out of box it was around 2-3 hours with the basic charger they provide. the frame and body feel nice and solid, the only thing I wish was different is the brake is a lever that pulls the front fender down on the wheel. I don't think it's great to come to a stop fast from the front wheel so I am not crazy about that in the design but overall it's made well and feels solid. ... show more
