What we needed: We needed a gate that's wider so it doesn't have to go directly at the (top of) stairs since it's more dangerous to use while carrying a baby, instead we needed it in the wall way between baby's room and stairway. This set is wide enough to fit 70"+ and came with everything I needed. Contents: 2x narrower extensions 2x wider extensions 1x main door section 4x tension screws some blocker to adhere to wall to further block the gate from falling (we didn't need to use this) 1x base unit to put under the door so it stays in place Installation: Worked great, I was able to put it together myself without any help within maybe 15mins. Very straight forward instructions. Usability: Very sturdy and high quality material for all the gate / extension pieces. Connection between the gate and extension was very sturdy as well, I don't think our 1yo can push hard enough for it to fall over despite it being tension mounted. The door is easy to open with one hand and it opens both ways which is awesome! Door also auto-shuts if you close it harder, it will make a slight click noise unless you are holding onto the locking mechanism while shutting it. Height (roughly adult thigh to waist height) is perfectly enough to block baby but not so high we have problems passing through the door while holding baby. Overall I LOVE this product and we've tried a few gates already in the past. This one is the most complete and sturdy so far and relatively good price. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Very satisfied with this extra wide baby gate! Needed a safe option for our wide opening and this was great. Easy to install and easy to open and close. Also stays open if you want it too! Very sturdy and good value for the price. Would buy again!

Edit: door auto close stopped working after 1-2 months. Reached out to seller and they sent a new door right away ! The pieces that stick to the wall did take the paint off but I don’t think that is the product, just what happens with these things. Original -We have an open floor plan & were struggling w/ containing our puppy and keeping an eye on her- luckily we have a doorway between the kitchen and a sunroom that is 68" wide and this gate worked perfectly! It's easy to assemble, you can mount it even with a baseboard b/c the top mounts & bottom don't have to be the same width, and it feels pretty sturdy- our dog will only get to about 25 lbs but I don't think she'd be able to topple it if we keep it in place when she is bigger- maybe a big dog could. The door is great- love how it swings both ways and also self closes, but if you want to have it stay open, you just open it all the way and it stays there. Great product!!!!! ... show more

2021 Update... This gate is still hanging in there...pun! Yes, it's getting a tad rusty on bottom, finish started flaking off. Gonna sand it and repaint, hopefully it'll withstand another 3yrs. Still haven't found another 22" gate. Always looking, but can only say "this gate" has so far withstood my fuzzbutts. Purchase date 2018... First off, gate is very nice, and well made but....only gave it 2*'s in beginning because....(will be changing) I specifically spent hours searching for the correct size and reading reviews because we live in RV. Door size width is small to our Bunkhouse. I found it, or so I thought. Secondly, I wanted to check with others to see if they had an issue with latch not connecting or any difficulties in fitting in frame? Thats when I discovered the invoice saying Gate was 24", NO WAY!, did I order a 24" gate. And Size 22" Gate? Now no longer exists as choice in Sale post. Guess company thought 2" wouldn't matter, and now I guess it really didn't. Gate's crammed in frame and at first I couldn't get it to come together at top so it would latch. No room for adjusters to move anywhere. I couldn't believe how tight it was, worried me. "Okay so...." (Finally) Hubby to the rescue, we pulled Gate away at top and spun the adjusters until gate latched then fit it back into opening. Leaving ziptie in place was NOT an option. It is very very snug but that 24" Gate is now 22". The adjusters are cranked down as far as possible so whether it's 24" or 22" doesn't matter because said Gate is now inside 22" door frame. Order, and box says 24", but the truth is right in front of me. Now as long as my "ever so smart" dogs dont figure out how to open it, (and they have in past), we're in business! It's working great but still only giving it 4*'s. After all, it did make me crazy at initial install. 😁 ... show more

This is the easiest gate I have ever had to put together. I do love it. It’s very functional and it was great for my space. It was actually about an inch or two shorter than what I needed so I got some wall nannies to to help make up the space and it worked like a charm. Unfortunately, for kids younger than three or really smart toddlers this gate will not work because my four-year-old figure out how to work it in two seconds for the purpose that I put it up there. I’m OK with that as I put the gate up mainly to keep the baby out of the kitchen. ... show more

Make sure to look at the floor additions when adding a baby gate. This one was pricey, but well worth it for the on ramp that covers the gate door! The latch is super easy and the quality is sturdy. It is strange how it sets up crooked and then you cut the cord and it aligns, but I promise it’s for a reason!!! I added a small runner rug in the doorway to make it easier for the baby to crawl in and out when the door is open! This baby gate was a MUST. Now I can keep her safe in the living room instead of free roaming the house with just gates in the halls. ... show more
