Covers basic door openings from 29.52'' up to 84.64" and with separate extensions available,it can extend up to 84.64". Height of gate 29.52". Gate is Ideal for baby kids and pets including small to medium breeds of dogs. Common use for indoor doorways, balcony, kitchen, bathroom etc. Recommended for children ages 6-24 months infant baby kids. IMPORTANT INFO: There is a gap between your gate frame and handle. This is not defective. The gap on your gate will close once it is properly mounted. WARNING: Do not use this gate at top or bottom of stairs without using all four wall cups. For maximum safety, use 4 Wall Cups with Sticky Pads and Screws provided when installing the gate in all locations. In some openings only 2 wall cups can be fitted. We loved that this gate came with the size we needed. We have a large area we needed to gate off to keep our special needs child out of the kitchen. This gate has held up very well. If any company would like to get things tested to see if they will hold up, my daughter will let you know:) She is capable of breaking anything, so we knew if this gate held up it’s a good one. We’ve had to adjust with putting 2x4s along our woodwork and drilling holes to keep the gate secure and tight so she can’t knock it down but otherwise until yesterday (I think we’ve had it for 2yrs now) she hasn’t broken anything off of it. She broke the gate piece off so we will some how have to replace the gate door part but this has been a huge blessing to keep our sweet girl safe. ... show more

We needed a large gate to contain our new puppy in the kitchen. When I realized I didn’t measure correctly they sent me an extension piece for free which came in within a few days. It’s a nice gate. It’s not as sturdy as one you would drill into the wall but it’s pretty sturdy for a pressure mount and enough to contain all three of my dogs . It only took us thirty minutes to put together and install. The instructions gave us headaches so we just figured it out on our own. I still give it four stars because it's sturdy enough, and it serves it's purpose which is to keep our baby safe. The size is also a plus! We needed to fence off a 61" wide opening to keep our two medium-sized dogs out of our living room. This gate appealed to me because it can be installed without screwing it into the wall, i.e., it's pressure-mounted. I was very pleased with the overall construction. It's sturdy and made of quality material with a nice finish. The assembly was straight-forward and mounting didn't require any tools since the hardware has knurled knobs for making the final adjustments. The seller included some additional, larger wall protectors for free that help minimize the potential for impressions and marks on the walls. The latch is easy to operate, and the gate auto closes unless you intentionally move it to the full propped open position. Once installed, the overall assembly is stout enough to contain our sometimes very excitable furry friends. My one negative is the design of the attachment for the extensions that were necessary for this gate to span 61 inches. They simply push on guided by 2 pins, which is easy enough, but there is nothing to affix them to the center gate. Although this works fine once the gate is installed, it makes it very difficult for one person to lift and install the gate while trying to keep the extensions on the pins. Unless you have 4 hands, you will need a helper to do the installation when using the extensions. If the manufacturer had included a method to fasten the extensions to the center gate, I would have given this 5 stars. ... show more

Find yall another gate. This thing depending on size is straight up junk. I’ve had multiple people help me with this gate and every time the baby pulls on it tugs on it it’ll fly right off the wall every time even after needing an army to put it up.

I purchased two identical gates from Rainbow Trade. I’m using them to restrict my puppies from areas or contain them in others. I initially did not want to spend the price for one, much less two. I’m very glad I did because it is constructed almost entirely in metal, making it better than a plastic or wood option. I reached out after the second purchase due to a missing piece for both gates when I realized I could no longer go without them. I didn’t want to return them if the seller was willing to work with me. There was an immediate response from Rainbow Trade. They will be sending the missing pieces needed for both gates. The size variation on this model makes it possible to place anywhere, and having a positive quick response from the seller proves I made the right decision to reach out first. Our 15 almost 16 month old had outgrown her playpen and was trying and almost succeeding in escaping her large playpen. it was time to give her some more room to play and we researched and looked for a few weeks before ultimately biting the bullet and buying this one. When the item first arrived I was worried as the box sustained some damage in transit, however upon close inspection nothing was damaged and all the parts were there. The instructions were generic and obviously for a wide variety of sizes and configurations and not just the size I ordered. I was sure we were missing a piece due to looking at the instructions however when putting it together I realized that I indeed had everything and installation went smoothly except I did put one section in the wrong spot which luckily it doesn't affect the integrity. If you're not good with figuring things out and troubleshooting then this could be an issue due to the generic instructions however it was pretty self explanatory once I started piecing things together. Our opening was exactly 84.5 inches which this gate advertises as fitting but I decided to buy wall protective mounts to place the tension rods in to add a few extra centimeters on either side for a more snug fit. I am so glad I did! With such a large opening I did use the sticker floor mounts provided and placed them staggered on each side of the gate mounting them on either side of the metal seem attachments/guards as they slid all around without doing so. Additionally the floor stickers provided much needed support for the large opening on the floor and luckily we have hardwood floors so they would adhere. I really dont see how this large of a gate would have worked over carpet. ... show more
