I purchased this product with the intent to mount it to my dash and it worked perfectly. I don’t like vent clips so I can not speak to the effectiveness of that aspect, but the adhesive patch secures the mount in place and it is very sturdy. My main concern was the magnet strength and holding power, but I have not had my phone fall once. I also use a MagSafe compatible phone case, so that likely helps. It also has solid rotational range to adjust your phone to whatever angle you need. I can’t think of any drawbacks for this product. It works as described, works well, and looks fine.     • Great mount with a little glue!
I’ve been looking for a MagSafe compatible adhesive dash mount and finally came across this. Everything works great, except for one fatal flaw. The ball on the dash mount slides down (rather than up) to unclip from the adhesive base. This means the clip has to hold the weight of your phone. Today the clip came loose and my phone fell down after only a few days of use. Had the clip design been flipped (ball sliding down onto the adhesive mount) the weight of the phone would be resting firmly on the adhesive mount with no worry of being unclipped. The only solution I can think of is to glue the ball and adhesive mount together. Not ideal, but still better than anything else I can find. ***Update*** I used a little JB Plastic Weld to secure the ball clip to the adhesive mount. It’s worked like a charm. I’m sure super glue would work too. Even with this small compromise, I think this is the best adhesive MagSafe mount out there! ... show more

    • Rubber Clips Sloshes in Vent Hole When Moving Phone Screen
There is room for improvement in the design. It has a clip you must push into the vent slits. Problem is MAYBE your vents are too narrow or maybe the vent at top or bottom is too narrow, because the rubber clip is very wide. So you may or may not have a fitment issue with the meaty rubber clip. BUT, even if it fits, as it does in my car, the lack of a holding "J" clip you see on other mounts means that the clip WILL slip slide as you move your phone left or right. When you move your phone on the magnet mount, this causes slight pulling out/dislodging in the back (regardless of the bottom holder). This is very fatiguing and annoying to have to always recalibrate the mount BACK INTO the VENT since the rubber clip can't HOLD it in place like the fish hook holder design. Aside of this the plate is VERY large. Too big and interferes with the consoles of the car and BLOCKS more vent air that it needs to. Finally, the magnet itself is solid. Very good and holds my HEAVY S23 Ultra just fine, especially with the bottom pillar clip. But as I said, if you move your phone side-to-side (as you may need to do with the shifting Sun), the clip will shift out causing car vibration if you don't recalibrate it back. So piece of advice is to make this large plate less wide and put a hook in the back and then you'll have a much more functional product. ... show more
