  • Not the greatest..
Fun ride when I first got it, lasted about a week in total. The scooter couldn’t withstand bumpy roads or uneven surfaces. Hit a large set of potholes and the throttle handle cover came clean off..the housing still attached I super glued it back thinking that could be a quick fix. Next few days it just got worse as the rubber kept flexing after each bump then finally it broke completely. I wouldn’t recommend this scooter it’s cheap but you get what you pay for so keep that in mind. ... show more

  • Handle bar has completely come off
To start off with the instructions were terrible for this and didn't help at all putting this together. It isn't too hard to figure out and this does come with a bag with all the tools that you will need to tighten everything up. When you figure out how to unfold the scooter everything is very loose on the top and will need to be twisted and adjusted to your liking and tightened well. This comes with the seat attached but we didn't want to have the seat on it after riding it a few times. The seat was comfortable and nice but felt like it would be more fun standing. There was no instructions for taking the seat off but it was fairly simple to take out. This scooter is fast and charges quickly and well. I feel like it handles bumps, dirt, and grass great. This does not show miles per hour so I'm not sure how fast I am going. The alarm system works fabulous and if touched it will sound alarms. We have had this now for a couple months and the handle bar was slightly bumped and the entire side along with a spring and washer flew out. I thought this would be a simple screw back on fix but it is not. The design is flawed and this cannot be screwed back on. I will probably now have to drill a hole through the bar and put a bolt through it to hold this together. For now I am using an elastic to keep it on. This is an expensive scooter and should have been designed better. ... show more

  • Practical Fun and Zippy, Too! Instructions are Lacking but See Details Below for Help…
This scooter is many things. It is practical transportation from point A to point B. It is economical to use as it is battery powered. It is fun to ride. It is a bit zippy, too. The key is to understand your mileage limitations so you don’t run out of battery. I haven’t had a scooter since I was a young kid so this thing is a blast to ride. Except this one has one other feature… a battery! The scooter is easy to assemble. However, the included instruction book is a bit lacking. It seems to pertain to a different scooter… not this one. There is an included tool kit that includes amongst other things… a set of Allen wrenches. They are what you need to assemble this. Here is what you will need to do. First, use an Allen wrench to tighten the turn signal switch on the left side of the handle bar. Slip the right side handlebar on and tighten the voltage meter with the Allen wrench. Tighten the power range switch. Attach the speedometer in the middle and tighten the two bolts. Find the matching plug and connect the wiring of the speedometer. It will only go on one way so rotate it until you find the notch. Slip the seat post into the seat post housing. Charge the battery. The battery took about nine hours for the initial charge. Interesting to note is that this comes with a 54 volt charger. It is a two amp charger so charging will be slow. However, slower charges are better for battery longevity. The charge port is under the running board in front on the right side of the scooter. The battery specs are as follows: Nominal voltage 48v Charging voltage 54.6v Nominal capacity 15Ah Charging current 5A Max The battery is easy to access by removing the four bolts that hold the seat post and then removing the remaining six bolts from the top cover. Slip the cover back to reveal the battery. When looking at my pics of the handlebars, you will see on the left, a switch box containing turn signals, lights on/off, and a horn. The speedometer reads in kilometers only and cannot be switched to miles. The speedometer display is big, bright and super easy to read. This display will also show you which speed range you are in. Towards the right side of the handlebars is a voltmeter that displays your battery voltage. Just before that on the right side is the power mode (speed range) switch. The throttle is in the right handle. There are three speed ranges on this scooter. Level 1 is the slowest while level 3 is the fastest. I had this up to 47 kph which equates to about 29 mph. I think I could have gone a little bit faster. To change the speed range, there is a switch on the right side of the handlebars which shows up and down arrows along with a button labeled “M”. You adjust the speed range by either pressing the M button or the arrows up or down. The switch seemed slightly unresponsive at times, but it did work. Over on the right side is where you will find the keys to turn the scooter on and off. There are remotes that are interesting, too. The lock button will sound an alarm and will disable the scooter from starting. This would be useful if you saw someone at your scooter attempting to take off. The headlight is bright enough to see well enough ahead of you in the dark. The rear light is bright. There are blinking lights across the side under the running board so you will be visible from the sides. The blinkers are visible from the sides and rear only. The scooter is easy to fold and unfold. The instructions sort of explain that part. The seat on this scooter is quite soft and cushy. The seat is adjustable up and down and there is a seat post shock absorber. The handlebars are also adjustable up and down. The seat can be taken off by removing four bolts should you decide you don’t want to use it. I did try this on a hill in my community and I found that it struggled to get up the hill. I had to provide some additional foot power to get up the hill. Normally, in my travels, I wouldn’t encounter too many hills like that so it was a bit of a non issue for me. But, it is good to know. I don’t have another scooter to compare this to for that aspect. The scooter with battery installed weighs 50 pounds. To me, this makes it quite manageable. I did not test the longevity of the battery yet. But, important to note is that the use of higher speeds will lower the remaining charge quicker than slower speeds. Terrain will also make a difference in battery life, so everyone will have differing experiences. The suspension system absorbed bumps from the road as expected. Having tiny tires, you will feel more bumps as opposed to something with larger tires. That is expected. Overall, this is a fun and practical scooter. The main issue that I have is that the instruction manual is limited and does not pertain to this scooter. Perhaps, in the future, they will include a better manual or better assembly instructions. I attempted to cover some of those details in this review. At the time of this review, the scooter sells for $500 which puts it in line with the competition. ... show more
