I am a college student who has happily depended on this scooter for a few months now, and have had nothing but good experiences. Here is my review: Favorite Features (in order of importance) My favorite feature has to be the hidden suspension. This feature is a simply incredible value at the price point of $400 at which I purchased it, and a no brainer at any price below that. The convenient built-in lock is nice to have for quick stops. The scooter's "app lock" also deters thieves by locking wheels and making them turn against movement. I have had no issues with anybody taking my scooter! The green color is not often seen on other scooters. Living in a mountainous town, I figured I could try to match the surroundings. Wow, what a great choice! No other scooter that I have seen comes in this color, making it easy to identify my scooter in a bike rack full of them. The LED lights are a very unique feature that helped convince me to buy the product. Many modes are easy to switch between using the scooter's built-in controls or the mobile app. Easy to match to your favorite color or outfit! The turn signals can be helpful when on the roads, but I typically stay on sidewalks or bike paths for safety. The bag clip allows me to use a large reusable bag and get all my essentials without needing to drive. The bell is convenient as well. I have seen some other reviews complaining about the kickstand, but it has rarely, if ever, failed me. The design has been updated and is now very practical while retaining its style. Daily Use: The ALPHA is very compact and lightweight, and fits perfectly under a 4 foot folding table. I have roommates and can easily hide the scooter under the table with a cover over it. As for security, it is easily compatible with a high-security u-lock and steel cable to supplement the built-in lock for places that require more caution. The range is good for a day's use, and effortlessly gets me to my jobs, classes, and to get groceries. Charging is relatively fast given the scooter's capacity. The tires have held up remarkably well given how much I use it. Value: A great way to save gas and time, not to mention better for the environment than a car. Some trips that I could make with a car I choose to make with the scooter due to the convenience and capability. I highly recommend this scooter to anybody looking for it. this scooter hits all the necessary marks that I was looking for while still remaining within my budget. firstly, its build is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. it has a decently wide deck, a good weight, and wide handlebars, which all lend to an overall reliable and sturdy feeling while riding. I had enough space to attach my phone holder to it, which is a definite plus. at the same time, I find it to be quite sleek. i'm also very grateful for the bright headlight and brake lights, which help me feel safe when it's getting dark out. I use this scooter for a 2.5 mile commute to work through a mostly residential area that is moderately hilly—it handles the job well, going about 12 miles uphill and maxing out to about 16 downhill (my weight is 130 lbs for reference). it makes my commute quite fun so I often use it for recreation too. I will typically take my scooter while family members take their bike for short-to-moderately distanced joy rides. lastly, the battery life is good for my needs and I find that it charges back up fairly quickly after a day/afternoon of use (one note: the charger makes a loud screeching sound when its done charging so you can't really charge it overnight without causing a disturbance). overall, I recommend this for e-scooter beginners and short distance commuters, as well as anyone looking for a recreational activity for their teens or themselves. ... show more
