Arrived undamaged. 😀. Assembly was simple. We like the size and glad we didn't order the smaller one. The electric insert is nice, but might not be everyone's taste. We like the amber setting but think the "logs" glow too much to look realistic, but it still looks nice. The heater reminds me of toaster heating elements only thicker. Another electric insert we have does a 1000% better job of heating. This one...don't expect to hear a small room. Takes a long time to even "take the chill off" of a small bedroom. ... show more

So many things to say about this piece of work. Firstly, it is quite expensive compared to another fireplace heater that I purchased (that is fabulous after 6 years of service even). Secondly, it does not keep running without the timer set - 8 hours tops! This is not even good at all considering the temps are near Zero right now. If you accidently hit a button twice it will shut off by itself (when least expected!). Everytime you use the remote it beeps for every push - that alone is quite annoying... Put it on 74 went back into the room (small bedroom with the door always closed) it was chilly to say the least. Have to have it on 80 degrees or higher just to heat one room. The remote is so complicated, I am surprised this product has such a high rating maybe because it is nice looking or asethetics are great but when it is purchased for both the looks and the promise of warmth it is not holding upto expectations as it should. I only give it a two star because it looks rather nice. The heat, timer, remote, beeping combined make this purchase regretful... Hope this helps others to keep from wasting their precious time because at this point I am not sure what to do. ... show more
