These knives do look good and cut very well but the like others said its like the block is made of plastic and needs more weight added to the bottom back of it, hopefully the knives will last awhile.

    • Good basic set
good knives, cut well to start anyway. The black coating is unique. The base is hard plastic. We'll see how they hold up. Would have liked a second pair of scissors and perhaps another serrated knife between a steak and bread knife size but solid set for the price.

I like the look of these knives and the way they cut. They feel really light which is something to get used to, but that's not necessarily bad. They're high carbon steel, and they work better than any other knives we have. That said, the block is hollow, seems to be made of cheap plastic, and doesn't have the weight to keep it from being tipsy. One bump, and it's knives everywhere. I'm thinking of seeing if I can apply some weights to the bottom of it, or if the inside can be accessed so that I can put some inside it, it's that concerning. But yeah, really nice knife set, with a knife for pretty much every occasion. ... show more

I really like this beautiful high quality and well made knife set. The knives are very sharp, well balanced and durable. The block is made of a durable plastic and not wood like I'm use to. I would buy this knife set again if I needed to.

The black blades look beautiful and very sharp. The polymer handles feels like cheap plastic and depending on the usage, I'm not sure how long they will hold up.
