I bought this chair for my wife after having owned the Duorest Alpha (the mesh version) for over a year. My wife started a new job and her office chair started giving her back pain. It doesn’t help that she’s pregnant and needs as much back support as she can get. My wife has the typical 8-hour workday and is sitting in front of a screen for 80% of her day. I bought this $500 chair because I know how well the Duorest Alpha had helped with my back. And now my wife is seeing noticeable relief in her back pain as well. We received the chair a couple of weeks ago and only built it just last week. The packaging was spot on. Everything was protected very well. Nothing was damaged and everything looked pristine. Building the chair was a breeze. Most of the parts either already came pieced together or just needed two or three screws. Honestly, it was the easiest chair I’ve ever built. Initial reactions: This thing is commmfffyyyy. The leather seat and back pads are spongey, yet very supportive. I personally still prefer the alpha (I prefer the breathability of mesh), but the leather padding feels like a dream. We’ve had plenty of leather seats with barely any support where you can feel your sitting bones resting on the plastic underneath. This is not the case here. We really appreciate the super thick seat! The double backrest is awesome. Honestly, there’s nothing like it. My wife is petite and has a hard time with office chairs not providing proper support. She usually deals with backrests that are too large; the height of lumbar support and other parts of the chair never line up with her petite frame. These dual backrests solved that problem immediately. She was able to find the right height and width for her frame. Now she finally has back support that she’s never had in another chair before. The arm pads are a bit firm. They’re not my favorite. My wife doesn’t mind them. Fortunately, they can be adjusted low enough to fit under a desk. My wife has a large desk and it’s more comfortable to just roll up under it and rest your arms on the desk. The headrest works well too! It rotates in every direction so it’s easy to find the right spot. All the features you’ll ever need in a chair are there, too. And they all work well. Smooth gliding. Easily adjustable height and width of the backrest. You can recline freely or lock in your favorite spot. You can adjust the seat height (duh) and you can move the seat forwards or backwards. This is just what my wife needed. The double backrests and spongey cushions are a huge upgrade to the hard chair she had in the office. Honestly, if I could afford more of these, I’d buy one for every room in the house (or at least one more for when my wife works from home!). ... show more

The duorest brand is rock solid. I'm a board-certified psychiatrist, working 100% remote from home in telepsych. Having an ergonomic chair is critical to my sanity. I've tried Steelcase and Herman Miller from my previous private practice offices, but those were over $2000 each. One of my colleagues recommended duorest, imported from S. Korea. I own both the Duorest Alpha and the Duorest Leather, and my god, these chairs are amazing. I gave my wife the Duorest Alpha because she likes the mesh more. I prefer the synthetic leather cushions and all-black look. These are THE best lumbar supports on the market. I need lower back support, and these have it 100%. I have 8am to 5pm office hours with 30 minute lunch break. I have had zero problems or strain with this chair. It has my blessing, attending physician approved! Btw, the customer support is amazing. I had a recent move, and the movers messed up my duorest chairs. They disassembled my chairs and then lost most of the pieces. I e-mailed Duorest, and they mailed me replacement parts free of charge, only had to pay for the cost of shipping. They also helped me trouble-shoot which parts were needed, and after several e-mail exchanges including personalized video tutorials, I was able to restore the chairs to original conditions. My brother had this for his home office and I couldn’t stop thinking about it ever since using it once. I finally pulled the trigger and paid for it and it’s just as comfortable as I remembered. The neck support is key for me and makes a big difference. I appreciate that so many features of the chair are adjustable to your body. The media could not be loaded. I am incredibly thankful for this chair. I suffer from two back problems -- a lower back strain injury, and chronic pain from the the spinal fusion surgery. This ergonomic chair is a lifesaver! Back Support: The back support mechanisms are amazing. They cradle my back during long conference calls, and the upper headrest provides the perfect support for my entire body throughout the day. I've tried so many "basic office" chairs, and they always end up squeaking, wobbling, or falling apart after just a few weeks. Seat: the PU leather is buttery soft and doesn't make you sweaty or sticky. Reclining Lock: I'm especially loving the lean-back feature. Surprisingly, I can still easily reach my keyboard and mouse while being incredibly comfortable. Overall, if you experience any back pain, I highly recommend trying the Duorest instead of opting for a cheaper office chair or other dual-backrest brands.
