This has been in my coop for awhile now and it’s like it was put in yesterday! Very pretty and very durable. Doesn’t leak anything into it usually but it’s also indoors. The size is great. I usually put chicken food in it for the week and it lasts a long time. It’s a good price for the quality. The only thing I wish it had was a cover for the food sometimes. I have tried many different feeders. This is by far my favorite! I am ordering another for my chick cage! It is tall and fits perfectly between the studs in the walls giving more space for my girls. It also holds an entire bag of feed which obviously makes life much easier! Live this feeder!

First rain showed it’s flaw. It’s not meant for straight outside use. The joints leak. So I used a bit of silicone and painters tape to make a dam and hit up the joints. Now it’s perfect! If the manufacturer would improve that one flaw then 5 stars.

The Duncans Poultry 50 LB Space Saver Wall Feeder came with screws and a template which made installation simple. The hens seldom waste any food now. I placed the feeder 5" off the floor and the pellets don't get tossed out. When filling, the lid goes up and stays up until I close it. If the feeder is empty, a 50lb bag of feed will fit inside the hopper. the galvanized metal is sturdy and should last many years. - extremely accurate product description - made in the USA - excellent packaging - comes assembled - real people, real poultry farmers, real customer service…they listen to reviews and accommodate their customers - anyone that includes a photocopy of the mounting holes for pre drilling marks deserves 5 stars - great mounting instructions for height/use - very sturdy, no loose hardware and won’t come apart for your poultry to eat screws/washers/nuts…like some Other $100+ feeders I could mention - saves space, mounts well, does exactly as they say for feed capacity - cuts down on crumble waste if you follow the directions -fast shipping - mounting hardware included - great powder coating and finish, extremely durable overall. -best bang for your buck. I have probably spent this much on small plastic feeders in 2 years. It’ll last way longer than that, so I’m saving money. - my only negative critique after installation, use and observation is the color red. Chickens are tiny raptors and red makes them more dinosaur like. Since it’s a feeder, I see this as a pro and not a con…but it’s something to consider. ... show more

Great quality. This really simplified the feeding of my chickens, and we have 17. It holds *almost* 50 pounds of pellet feed. I really wish they would have made it just slightly bigger for that reason, but it's no big deal. It was a big upgrade in size for me, greatly reducing the frequency that I have to go out there and refill their feed. I mounted per the instructions and haven't had any issues with the chickens throwing feed out, as they can just barely reach it. My only issue is that cockroaches love to eat the feed at night and there's no built-in way to completely close it off. There were literally roaches in the trough of the feeder at night, and I even saw one walking off with a pellet of feed. That seems both unsanitary and a waste of food (the last thing I want to do is attract MORE nasty roaches). To solve the problem, I made a crude cover for the front of the feeder from thin plywood, magnetic strip, and a pair of sticky-back knobs. I cover the opening once the chickens are in the coop for the night and then I uncover it in the morning when I let them out. No more roaches. I only wish there was a built-in cover/door. Overall, I am very pleased. I wish I would have just spent the money earlier to get a good feeder, as opposed to trying to be cheap with a bunch of DIY projects-- buy once, cry once. ... show more

I wish it had an overhang so the rain doesn't run down the front and into the feed. Otherwise, it's well made and does the job.
