I have two of these now. they are quiet, move a good amount of air and can run on a 5 amp battery all day on lower settings but still for hours on full blast. really impressed with this fan. Been using them for several months . they are also durable. I accidentally left on of them sitting on my truck tool box and drove off, it didnt fall off until I was on the dang freeway going 80 mph , I saw it come off and bounce off to the side of the road. came around to pick up what I figured would be my garage and it was not even messed up at all. ... show more

Purchased this for a couple of reasons. My kids do outdoor sports and sometime that can be on a hot day so we setup a popup to provide some shade and put one of these fans in it for us adults to stay cool(er) and kids to come in between games as all day long championships to cool off. I already have several DeWalt tool and a few 5ah 20V battery packs so this fan was a natural selection. I feel its quiet, feels solid so DeWalt quality, and it moves moves a good amount of air. Its also not too big or heavy so easy to transport and fits easily on a small table under a pop up shade 'tent' tent. The variable speed dial is a nice feature as you can control how much air/noise it puts out but also battery life to pace yourself for a long day or through the night. I ran the fan initially for a couple of hours on maybe a 70% high setting and it didn't even take one bar off of a fully charged 5ah battery pack. I also plan to use this if we have a blackout and I need to make a bedroom more comfortable at night. This saves on running fuel for a generator. I will probably keep an eye out to pickup one more of these fans if they go on sale or I come across one used. ... show more

This thing works great. I have a lot of yellow tools in my shop and garage and I would rate most DeWalt 20V above average for homeowner usage. Impacts, drills, cutting appliances all pretty good. Vacuum cleaner just average. But this fan is really good. I have been using it everyday since buying it. Good battery life, very quiet for this price range. This one is much better than my red one that cost considerably more. I generally don't write tool reviews unless I am trying to help someone avoid a bad purchase or find something that I really like. ... show more

If you’re thinking about buying, just do it. After months of owning my first and days after receiving my second, I have nothing but good news to report. Very versatile. I’ve used them to keep cool while working on an outdoor project. To dry wet carpet. For general air flow. The possibilities are endless. I haven’t used the metal hooks, but I can see the possibilities on a job site. I wasn’t expecting the mounting holes on the bottom, for semi-permanent mounting on a wall or ceiling. Might be nice for a workshop or garage where power isn’t available. Using a 5amp hour battery, it lasts about 4-5hrs on full blast. And 8hrs+ on half power. I don’t throw them around, but they seem rugged enough to do so. And light enough a small child could carry. The handle on top is super convenient. The size is perfect. Big enough to provide great airflow and small enough for great portability. It was on my wishlist for months. I wish I bought sooner. ... show more
