Tossed between 3/4 stars.. I have tried several donut pillow/cushions for tailbone pain. Picked this one because of the “larger” seat and coolness. Item arrives packed/rolled in a tube shape. Needs a bit of time to depuff. The first time sitting you do feel the cool effect. It does not last… what I did not find appealing was the craftsmanship. Several strings hanging and mine was made incorrectly. The material was not sewn together correctly to fit the U shape of the cushion. It proofed and bubbled ~ no matter how you adjusted it. Was irritating. I had to exchange for a new one that did come fitted better. Overall the cushion is nice. Good thickness. Wait for it to go on sale…if you want to try. ** does have a faint packaging smell that hopefully will fade over time. ... show more

This seat could be great in terms of comfort and non slip grips, unfortunately, the OVERWHELMING mold smell made it impossible to keep. Every time I got up from the seat this horrible smell would waft around and I finally couldn't take it anymore. I tried spraying it with many different things...washing the cover...nothing worked. It was just too disgusting a smell to keep. The material also isn't as plush as the Everlasting Comfort seat cushions. I would say - just spend a bit more and get one of those. ... show more

A nice upgrade to a wood office chair. This has made sitting for long periods of time very comfortable. I do feel some degree of cooling initially, but that goes away. Maybe the fact that my butt doesn't sweat is the cooling part. Regardless, it's been great and is very comfortable.
