This Cuisinart is the only canopener we will buy. It is a replacement for the same one. The one it replaced was 15 years old! It is sturdy and takes little space on the counter and holds the cans while opening them. Easy to use, opens cans with ease and quiet!

My husband and I do not leave negative reviews. However we have 2 of the cuisanrt can openers that do not work. Let me please explain. I bought because of the name and thinking these will be good. I bought 2. One for my home and one for my shore house. The one for home was difficult to get to work for 15 Oz cans I had to push down then ever lightly pull the opening mechanism up. One of the knobs in front fell out and I would put it back in. We moved to our shore home when we retired. I could no longer push and pull the opener with 28 oz cans. Gave up. Grabbed the new one from the shore house and had an even worse time. My husband is a mechanical engineer and he couldn’t get the second one to work either. We finally opened the 28 os cans and made our tomato sauce. Later I asked my husband which one finally worked and he couldn’t remember. LOL So tomorrow we will figure out which one partially worked . Opening a 15 Oz can. I have ordered a manual to be delivered tomorrow night. I am not looking for a refund. It is to long ago. Please realize this is what happened to me. Good luck! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This Cuisinart Can Opener is the best can opener that I have ever owned, and I am 60 yrs old. I love everything about this Can Opener. First off the stainless steel is perfect, I love the shine and sparkle from the stainless steel, it has such a clean rich appearance. I've used this Can Opener for the past few months, and I've not had any issues with it at all. It opens any sized can very easily and has a smooth to the touch lid, no sharp edges. It also matches my Cuisinart stainless steel toaster, and they look amazing together! The motor is nice and has a lot of power, it's not noisy at all. It's also easy to clean because the part that cuts the can lids off come completely off in order to wash it, and it goes back on very easily. I love that this Can Opener is made of stainless steel metal, I believe it will last for several years of use. I highly recommend this Can Opener to anyone who's on the fence about purchasing it, just buy it! Furthermore, I give this product a perfect 5 stars, and I can honestly say that this is the best can opener that I've ever owned! ... show more
