  • Great 10W laser
Size: Falcon-10W Basic
. Pros: The machine is quality built, and assembly is somewhat straightforward. It operates smoothly and seems very accurate. The provided gcode example was cut cleanly and accurately on the two pieces of basswood provided in the kit. The files on the included microSD card (i.e. comes installed on a USB-A reader) are useful and includes a User Manual, controller software ( Lightburn (30 day trial) and LaserGRBL), operation video, focusing video, and firmware update instructions (i.e. get the latest firmware release for this model from the Creality.com website). Also note that this unit comes with laser safety glasses (required to protect your eyes from the light emitted by the laser beam).. Cons: None as far as the machine quality and operation is concerned. General Info/Advice for Beginners: 1. Buying the laser engraver/cutter is only the first item you need. BEFORE YOU USE THE LASER: 2. You must adequately vent the gases and smoke generated by the laser engraving/cutting process if using the unit indoors. My preference was to purchase the Creality Laser Engraver Enclosure which has an 80mm (3”) vent fan and hose and thick colored plastic zippered access panel on top that helps protect your vision. Note that my use is in a cellar with a casement window that is 30’ away from where I had to locate the laser unit. I upgraded and modified the enclosure to contain a 120mm vent fan capable of moving 141 cu ft/min. And attached 30’ of expandable conduit (similar to a dryer hose) to a dryer vent through the window (i.e replaced the glass window with a pane of transparent acrylic). This setup works well. 3. A honeycomb cutting table is necessary to protect your workbench/table that the laser is on. I bought the Creality Cutting Table for Laser Engravers kit. It comes with the aluminum honeycomb unit, an aluminum bottom plate, and a set of leg risers for raising the engraver frame so you can accommodate large objects and a separate roller unit that allows you to engrave cylindrical objects. I’ll do a separate review on the the honeycomb kit. 4. For this unit, an air assist unit greatly enhances the engraving and burning operation results. It helps to minimize burn and soot marks on the piece being worked on. I bought the Creality Air Assist for LaserEngraver which works very well. I’ll do a separate review for that. ... show more

  • Great laser machine
Size: Falcon2-22W Basic
This is my third diode laser and by far the best one I've had. Practically no assembly required, and I was up and running in 15 minutes or so after opening the box. The 22 Watt laser will cut through pretty thick wood, but does a great job of engraving many different materials and does it fast. Don't confuse the 22 Watt rating with a lot of the competing "20 watt" diode lasers. This one is 22 Watts of optical power, where the so called 20 watt lasers are frequently "input power" rather than output power, and only put out 5 watts or so of optical output. The limit switches are nice. The whole thing is nice and sturdy and I'm very pleased with the quality of work I can get with it. Highly recommended as a good diode laser. ... show more

  • Amazing unit!
Size: Falcon2-22W Basic
This product truly is amazing. I have engraved some really cool images with it. Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't very good troubleshooting instructions and all the offline capabilities I expected. Would still recommend this product, just be patient and take the time to learn how everything works and you will be greatly impressed. ... show more

  • Perfect for the Falcon 2
Size: Engraver Enclosure Pro
Assembly was intuitive, but the instructions weren't clear for fan mounting (easy enough to guess based on pictures). All the parts were included in sealed plastic wrapping. Putting the fabric enclosure on over the frame was a little tricky (need to make sure you've pushed the poles all the way into the plastic corner pieces). Fit's snugly and the Velcro secures the enclosure to the frame. Enclosure is open on bottom so it's pretty easy to pick up and set down over laser machine. Gaps on bottom are small enough that smoke doesn't escape, but air can come in when the USB fan is on. It's easy to run cables through the holes installed, however I find running them under the enclosure is better since you can more easily pick up the enclosure to remove the material after a successful cut of a large piece of plywood. Note: There is no USB power adapter for the fan, and there is no lights inside the enclosure (some other products on Amazon have a light). I bought a simple USB light separately and wrapped the cable around the frame so it hangs and I can more easily see inside. Only concern is the clear screen doesn’t seem to filter out all of the blue light from the diode laser. I mostly got it for the fume control, so I still wear safety glasses when it’s running. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money, time or frustration
Size: Falcon-10W Basic
USB port doesn’t work. I’ve reached out to Creality multiple times to get a replacement port with no luck. This requires time to put together and is a dud in the end.

  • Add a Little Lubricant to the Poles Before Inserting Into Corners
Size: Engraver Enclosure Pro
I used a little wax and mineral oil lube to the poles and they inserted easily. I have heard complaints about the fan, but I think it works just fine. The large zippered opening allows for easy installing and removing the laser into the enclosure. I used 1/2 inch EMT clamps to hold the enclosure to the table so it doesn't slide around. This is a good product at a good price. ... show more

  • Not powerful
Size: Engraver Enclosure Pro
Assembly was quick and easy (I did not have tightness issues as many people described). The fan, though, does not have the power it needs to process the fumes accordingly and is extremely noisy. Moreover, my Falcon 2 does not have a USB port to plug the fan, therefore, it required for the cable (which is inside the enclosure) to go out and get plugged somewhere, in which is (IMO) a huge design flaw. ... show more

Size: Falcon-10W Basic
I have only had this for a few days but so far it is great! I can’t believe how well it works. I have already made some wood business cards and some coasters with our logo on them
