A friend shared benefits of using an indoor grill after they got rid of their big outdoor BBQ. I had as well and was looking for a better 'grilling' solution. My kitchen has very limited storage/counter space and I have been down-sizing and looking for multi-purpose items. looked at grill model they had purchased along with others all of which had more negative than positive reviews. Sadly, my CP137-AF was one of the units impacted by the recent Cosori air fryer recall . It is the smaller capacity air fryer and due to limited counter cabinet height (11" clearance ) it was the only unit that would fit, and we only have 2x people in our household. I learned how-to use the air fryer from Kathy on YouTube, and purchased the Cosori after reading many reviews and researching what would be best for our use. So over the past 18-months it became our #1 go-to appliance. Cosori offered replacement item options instead of the equivalent air fryer model for the recall, and while my unit was smaller, the larger capacity CF model showed the new Cosori Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill & Smart XL Air Fryer Combo! I was intrigued, and went researching. This unit came out about 1-year ago, and while on the more expensive end of the 'air fryer' models, this had so much more to offer my narrow criteria requirement of lower height, larger cooking capacity and an indoor grill! Everything I wanted in a single unit plus the baking bonus. My CF137 recall unit did not qualify as a replacement to the Smart-XL Air Fryer, however Amazon.com had the unit in stock and a $30 coupon, so since I was willing to spend $ to purchase just an indoor grill as an additional appliance, I hit the 'add-it-to-my cart'! Received it, and ran the 1st time cycle twice to burn off the new plastic odor, and used it the same day. I also paired to Alexa on my phone using the VeSync app. LOVE it !!!! The Smart XL grill fits my limited counter space (slightly wider but lower). Cooks faster and has higher temperatures available. Grilling is perfect, have had NY steaks and pork chops that are tender and tasty in minutes, and the ceramic grill sizzled just like the old BBQ. I really like that Cosori chose to use ceramic for the grill insert instead of a teflon coating (so much healthier, I have gotten rid of all Teflon coated pans). I do use a sheet of foil in the bottom of the pan which makes clean-up a snap, along with everything being easy to clean. Smokeless, fast clean-up and does not heat the kitchen! I have used the grill, air fryer and bake functions. My brownies baked faster and now I can have baking all through the hot summer months without turning on my gas oven! Two other friends had purchased their Cosori's on my recommendation and have now replaced their units with the new Smart-XL grill combo. Extremely happy with my purchase and whenever I do finally receive my replacement CF unit I will gift it to someone which has held of on purchasing an air fryer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This thing rocks. I wanted an indoor grill to cook steaks on since it's too cold outside and this one appealed to me. However, it's much, much more than an indoor grill. We've only had it for 10 days but have already used it 5 times, not only does it rock at cooking steaks, it's an air fryer, broiler, dehydrator and I don't know what else yet. The Cosori Indoor Grill & Air Fryer is built better than the Ninja equivalent. Ninja arrived DOA with cheaper aluminum components. The Cosori is built with heavier gage metal and worked out of the box. What makes this an indoor grill is: - about a 1cm thick grill plate that sits higher in the unit than a normal air fryer. - the heating coil is covered by a splash guard since the food sits higher. The controls they tried to make simpler, and maybe I just don’t understand yet. But the Consori Pro 5.8 qt Air Fryer has a WAY BETTER sensible user interface. I have both, and I am happy with both. Our previous air fryer was a Ninja, which we used almost daily for two years. I had to replace the thermal fuse twice because the fryer was too close to the wall. The heating element and reflector were impossible to keep clean. After the Ninja finally died, we bought this Cosori. While the footprint is about 50% larger than the Ninja, it is shorter and the vent is better positioned to prevent overheating. The Cosori is designed for easier and more thorough cleaning, and includes a replaceable/washable filter. The grill plate adds additional function, and works great for grilling fish. Concur with minor complaints fron other reviewers that the fan is quite loud and often drowns out the soft beep tone. ... show more

First, this is a great kitchen appliance. I've done wings, steaks, fajitas and more and they all come out great. For those of you wondering what the differences are between the more expensive version and the cheaper version is, I can tell you. I have the more expensive version as it was an exchange after my Corsori air fryer was recalled. The more expensive version includes a couple of items such as a grill grate, a replacement filter, and some skewers. Is it worth it to pay for those? Maybe. I do like the grill rack for cooking meats, but you can still cook them in the basket, you just won't get the grill marks. I haven't used the skewers yet, but since i have an extra set from the previous air fryer, it wasn't a big deal for me. So, save some money and get the cheaper model. I love my cosori it was between this and Ninja and I choose the cosori because it goes to 510° I grill my steaks at this temp and the sizzle and grill marks I get are perfection. I use the dehydrator for making beef jerky work amazing. This little mache replaced a lot of my other food prepping machines I use this exclusively and gave the others away I have more countertop room. Super easy to clean ... show more

We are very happy with this Air fryer. It's easy to use. Comes with excellent instructions and recipes. The only concern I have is how to clean around the heating element. There is a clip on screen that protects it but at some point it may need to be cleaned. Having said that we still highly recommend it. Great value. ... show more
