Literally life changing. No more heating up the place with the oven in the summer, no more waiting forever for something small to be cooked in the oven, no more stove top hamburgers due to not having a grill, and no more guessing with overcooking or undercooking meats. This literally does it all. The hype is real. The air fryer makes chicken nuggets and everything else super crunchy and tastes like it was fried, even my oven never could crisp like this. The grill cooks veggies, meats, fish etc perfectly and the thermometer cooks it to your liking (no more cutting open steaks and chicken to check). Chef-quality results in minutes. This machine is stupid-proof, meaning someone without too much cooking knowledge can turn out a professional meal easily. This is not complicated to learn, not a ton of digital menus to sort through (which was my concern at first). I took it out of the box and after a few minutes breezing through the manual, I knew how to use it. Throw some chicken wings on the grill and bam, crispy healthy wings for dinner that taste like they were fried but in reality, they are healthy and just grilled with a hair of avocado oil. Burgers turn out amazing, steak, chicken, fish, etc. Asparagus, broccolini, etc. You'll also never go back to microwaving chicken nuggets again after tasting them air fried. Also, dehydrated jerky is easy in here once you buy a small dehydrating metal rack (cut meat thin, marinate in your choice, then toss in here for a few hours and you'll have homemade jerky). My big tip is to also buy the Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill Complete Cookbook by Mellanie De Leon to go with this, it has super delicious, easy to follow recipes, from basic to more flavorful, all within it. The best part is in the back of the book, there's a chart with settings and time to use to learn how to cook different things, which is a necessity when learning how to use this. Buy this cookbook! This applicance has made my life so much easier and was the spark of inspiration I needed when I was getting bored of cooking and running out of ideas to keep meals new and fresh. I saw this Ninja XL 6-in-1 on Prime day for a great price so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I've had it for several days and have used it in some capacity every single day now. It's easy to use, preheats fairly quickly, tells me when to "add food", and the settings are easy to use on the front screen. I'm still figuring out how to convert the temp/time on food packages to what the Ninja settings should be, but I've learned that the temp setting should be lower and the time to cook is shorter than package instructions. For example, tube biscuits that per package instructions take 13-17 minutes in a regular preheated oven only took 8 minutes in the Ninja. Cleanup is a breeze and so far, nothing has stuck to the baking pan. The odd thing is that there is NO temp setting between 375 and 390 so that leaves somewhat of a trial & error mission when deciding which temp to set. It's a little bigger than I had thought so I had to rearrange a few things on my counter, but I know I'll use it regularly so it will stay out. I plan on buying some accessories to go with this because I think it's so versatile there's probably not much that wouldn't work in here on either roast, bake, broil or air crisp. I'm only cooking for myself, but the surface area and air fry basket are large enough that it would accommodate a larger family for fries, burgers, chops, etc. I love this and I'm so glad I purchased it. I definitely wouldn't have paid the regular price but if you can find a deal on it, I wouldn't hesitate because I don't think you'll be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about the Ninja IG651 Foodi Smart XL Pro 7-in-1 Indoor Grill/Griddle Combo. This little gadget has given me a renewed love of cooking. About 3 years ago I purchased a Blackstone Flat Top Griddle, Electric Smoker, and an Oklahoma Joe's Longhorn Combo (offset smoker, charcoal grill, propane grill, all with a side burner too). I liked my outdoor kitchen but soon realized I wasn't using them often as I thought I would due to extreme hot and cold weather temps and the hassle of cleaning up. This is what led to my purchase of the Ninja OG701 7-in-1 Outdoor Electric Grill & Smoker. I enjoyed it so much I decided to buy the Ninja Foodi for indoor cooking. I've had the Ninja Foodi XL 7-in-1 for 2 ½ weeks and used the griddle 3 times, air crisp option 2 times, grill 4 times and broil once. I consider myself to be a good cook. My cooking expertise leans toward Thai, Mexican, and Indian cuisines. However, I tend to get in a hurry when frying over easy eggs and break the yolks. Plus I gave up cooking steaks years ago because I hardly ever can get them Medium Rare. Everything I have made on the Foodi has turned out perfectly. Grilled Salmon and Ribeye Steak were restaurant quality. The slipperiness of the griddle plate makes over easy eggs a breeze with in tact runny yolks. All pancakes were evenly cooked at the same time regardless of where they were on the griddle. Air Crisp zucchini fries and eggplant slices were delightfully crunchy and tasty. The baked (then broiled) meatloaf was slightly crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside. Baked skinless chicken thighs were done to perfection and very juicy. The temperature probe is fairly accurate, though my Thermapen has always been spot on so I tend to use that when cooking something super fussy. When you set a temp and insert the probe, the Ninja shuts off as soon as the programmed temp is reached. It then reminds you to let the food rest. After cooking,comes clean up. Nothing could be easier than cleaning the Ninja Foodi. The grill, griddle, and air crisp basket come clean with a sprayer faucet. Seriously, no wiping or scrubbing - a strong spray removes everything within 15 to 20 seconds. Then a quick wipe with a soapy sponge or dishcloth gets rid of any residual greasiness. I see no reason why I'd run them through the dishwasher. I also remove the splatter screen and wipe both sides with a soapy sponge then rinse under the sprayer - it still looks brand new. The only critique I have is that the included recipe pamphlet seems to have incorrect cook times on many recipes. I've seen other reviews stating the same thing…cook times are too long. I'd suggest always using an instant read thermometer or probe for greater accuracy when cooking. All in all, I'd strongly suggest getting a Ninja grill, or get two like I did. ... show more
