What an incredible little machine! I am in a wheelchair, and my brother has dementia. Neither of us can get to the outdoor barbeque. No, it does not smoke at all. I made shish kebobs, a porterhouse steak, salmon, and skewered chicken livers. All were outstanding. It is so wonderful to be able to barbeque again. Cleanup is very easy, and none of the food sticks. I had a hard time fitting it into the dishwasher, but cleanup in the sink with a bit of soap is a breeze. It heats up immediately. i love this grill! it is very easy to use and easy to clean. i ordered the 14 inch, and it’s pretty big. really just the perfect size. it is super easy and convenient to use and it’s easy to clean. i have used it almost every night since i purchased it. NOTE: it does say it’s dishwasher safe, you have to disassemble it ( basically taking the grill top off) however, it is too big for my dishwasher. after placing each piece in the dishwasher, there is no room for anything else to go in the dishwasher, so i just opt to hand wash it. it’s non stick, so it’s super easy to clean. ... show more

This was/is my last try at an indoor electric grill! I’m totally SOLD and will buy more for gifts because I want to share the ease of indoor grilling with family and friends. I’m posting pics so you can SEE the things I had questions about before ordering. My big complaint with indoor grilling was always the huge mess to clean up. Spatter everywhere and the wire rack never seemed to get cleaned right the first time and then the drippings were the biggest problem! I’d line the base under the heating element with foil and then have to wait AFTER messy grilling for it to thicken so I could remove the grease and fold the foil to throw it in the trash. I grilled less and less for those reasons. Let’s not forget...outdoor grills do have a lid and that’s what I missed with my 3 other grills...no top! Fast forward...I saw this grill, as a last ditch effort to being able to cook healthier for myself I decided to buy it after much thought and weighed my options of price, size and actually at first the Lid was the selling point at first sight and then I saw this all comes completely apart! Yes, the actual cooking surface lifts out of the sturdy, hard base. Also...in the base is a drip cup that slides in and out like a tiny drawer so you can pour the grease into a plastic/paper cup or even a thicker baggie and you seal it and throw it away. WHAT? Could it be that simple? YES! This item is the closest thing to smokeless that I’ve ever had. Very little smoke...you can really control any smoke if there is any, with the TEMPERATURE CONTROL and or the Lid. Temperature control....what a nice plus, seriously folks...only one of my three other expensive grills had that but I hated the grilling and the mess. I must say that clean up is/was so easy! I lifted the non-stick grilling surface out of the base, wiped any grease left off of it with a paper towel and then washed it with soapy warm water, dried it and set it back in it’s base and did the same with the lid, soapy warm water, rinse, dry and put it back on the grill. Oh, one more thing...the controls fit nicely inside with no cord sticking out or hanging. I did not miss having a grill rack at all and I still got Grill Marks on my Steaks! LOL Check out my pictures, they might answer any questions about the grill that might get answered for you. On yeah, I ordered the 14” grill and I worried it wouldn’t be big enough but as you can see? It’s plenty big enough. I had Two Fillets on it in the picture and could of had several, later I added sliced potatoes and added sliced veggies to grill which I did not take a pic of, sorry! This could cook at least six large burgers or two big sirloins at once. If you have a large family? Order according to the size cooking surface you think might work for you...better a little more than you need than not enough. My only complaint was with the delivery, the out side box it was packaged in was destroyed! The actual box the grill is in didn’t even have a scratch and was very well protected!! No Complaints about this grill at all. Happy, healthier cooking everyone. But I know it’s because I’m not eating anything fried or having food cooked that sits in oil, grease or fats. I’m glad I chose the 14” round grill. It’s perfect for cooking complete meals for TWO...from the meat, veggies and even potato slices or wedges. IF you are just cooking meat chicken or fish for the family? The 14” will serve you well but if youHAVE A FAMILY OF FOUR or more and want to just get it done all in one cooking? I’d go a little larger. You won’t be disappointed. I just received this item and used it as soon as I could wash it and preheat it. I marinated chicken breasts in anticipation of receiving the grill. It is so easy to use. It's a perfect size and price. I wanted something simple to operate and easy to clean. It grilled my chicken perfectly then I took the grill piece when it cooled and put it in the dishwasher. It cleaned up beautifully. It's not bulky so I found a spot in the kitchen to store it because I plan on using it a lot. I do all the cooking and grilling and I was tired of running outside to the big gas grill while trying to do the inside cooking as well. I can grill in the winter now, too. It was entirely smokeless because of the water tray under the grill. I wish I had bought one of these sooner. The cord is a decent length, not like the really short ones, so you can move it away from the wall a little. There are just two of us so there is more than enough room for our needs, and plenty of room for more. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This grill is great i got the smallest one 11 inches and it's big enough to make like 4 burgers. Enough for my small family. My first meal i tried was salmon onions and mushrooms and it turned out great. Cooked the onions really quick too. It gets to the heat level within 4 minutes heats up very fast. The design is non stick. So it's easy to clean. And no smoking at all ! ... show more

Very impressed from a Japanese “yakiniku” tabletop grill fan!! Compared to Japanese Zojirushi brands costing over $150, this grill is well under $40 and does the trick. The ridges provide nice grill marks on your meat and veggies while cleanup with a moist paper towel is all you need. Just use wooden or bamboo chopsticks when BBQing so you don’t scratch the surface and this baby will last years!! ... show more

Now this Elite Gourmet Indoor Grill is everything they say it is! Fantastic!!! I saw review say it set off smoke alarm, I grilled right under my alarm and it never set it off! I came packed perfect and easy to assemble. I grilled chicken & shrimp and cooked perfect. If it sound like I love it its because I do. So happy and proud I purchase and you will too. It is big and might not fit in sink to clean a small price to pay to have a awesome grill. The top fits great and non stick so grill cleans easy.
