Its nice and saturating, for the most part saturates evenly. Not a fan of the smell, and beware, naturally, it may dye a white porous shower

I’m someone who colors my hair on a regular basis. I usually do variations of auburn but wanted to shake things up a bit and tried this. It is VERY burgundy! I’m late 50s and hoping I can pull this off till it fades Lol. There is a warning in the instructions about how to handle any staining from this product and, again as someone who’s no stranger to hair dye this color does make a mess. This is not my first time coloring my hair red and I have used several different brands. This one is as easy to use as any of them, and it did not smell bad at all, like some brands do. The color is not like that on the box on me, however, I have brown hair naturally. It is still a very flattering color, in fact, when I went to get my hair cut, the beautician had some very good compliments on the color. I'll definitely use this one again Addendum: I wrote this review shortly after I colored my hair. It has now been a month since I colored, and I have significant gray showing already. Normally, I get 6-8 weeks of hair color before this happens. So while I will buy this color again, and recommend it from that perspective, just be aware that it may not have the longevity of many other color and brand options. ... show more

I really wanted to love this product. It was such a pretty color for like 2 days. - the bottle is TINY! About half the size of other brands. - consistency is thin, but manageable if you are careful. - color was beautiful when first dyed. Original hair color was medium brown. - didn’t bleed with washes (washed in cold water only) - color started fading VERY unevenly after 2 washes (both in cold water) Currently her hair is about 5 different colors, which is fine for a tween - but I would not be happy if it was my head!
