Not happy with this purchase!!!! My electrician installed the fan (20 ft up ). The fan and light works. My problem is the remote will not work to change speed or turn on and off I have to turn on and off with my wall switch. I called to get a new remote and the only option they gave me was to return the whole fan!!!! Its a heavy fan and mounted on a vaulted ceiling and that now requires me to hire someone again to remove and then replace again for a more than likely a faulty remote. This is not a easy task and all I'm asking for is a new remote before removing the whole thing and having to ship back!!!!!! Not Happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

I was looking for a super quiet fan for my bedroom as I am a lite sleeper. I almost did not buy this fan due to some of the negative reviews on installation issues, noise and light staying on. I am not an electrician just handy around the house. I installed the fan in less than an hour. The fan works better than I hoped for. Super quite, moves a lot of air and the light is very bright. It does turn off completely (unlike some of the comments I had read). Also, when I first enter the room if I turn off and on the light switch (since the remote is next to the bed) the light comes on, and then I can control it from the remote when I am in bed.
