There are a few details to note with this five star purchase. I did not read the details of this order. That is my fault, of course. It cannot be returned. I started the return process because it stopped working after about eight days. That was my fault as well. I had accidentally pushed the release switch. Please make sure that the switch to engage it on the front is pushed all the way down. I accidentally pushed it up when cleaning it. And, when trying to ignite this unit, make sure that you turn the knob to turn it on counter clockwise all the way to the bottom until it clicks. If you do all of that, it works like a champ. I would say that it cooks on one butane canister for 180-200 minutes on medium heat, which is about six meals in my house. I like low and slow cooking. High heat on this unit would be amazing for searing or wok cooking but would burn anything else. The case it comes in is cheap, brittle plastic that is hard to close. That is not an issue for me because I am using it at home but it might be an issue if you are trotting it around from campsite to campsite. For my purposes this stove is perfect. ... show more

I wish I could have better things to say than is is a good burner. The plastic case door latch was DOA, broken in half, and the Fuel compartment cover is bent and won't close properly. Okay, so I bought another, different brand. Ugh, it was even worse. I decided to keep this one because I love the "indoor" rating and the burner works very good. In fact, it may not get as low in temperature as I want. The burner grates are heavier duty and thick. The controls are simple and work well. I ran it on low and my non stick fry pan hit 400 degrees without the pizza pan it was sitting on as a drip pan, getting warm at all. I needed this for Super Bowl as an indoor kabob grill and I'm sure it will work well. A little Super Glue and some sheet metal work with my pliers, and I'm good to go. ... show more

I read where some people have a problem lighting it. It's very simple to lite and it lit the first try. I haven't cooked on it yet but will update if any problems. ps, simple to use if you go by simple instructions.

This stove was used daily to cook and boil water for 21 days without a hitch - proving to be economical and easy to use. We used 8 cans of fuel. We used it indoors exclusively. We never had a problem with lighting it. The flame was easily adjusted and it surprised us how hot it could burn - making short order of boiling water even on a low flame. This was our first experience with a butane stove. Other people nearby were using propane grills and stoves without nearly the ease and success that we had with this butane stove. The canisters of butane are very easy to install. If there is any down side, it will be the safe disposal of the empty butane canisters. ... show more
