We gifted the "Murder of a Millionaire" to some close friends for Christmas. As our friends are lovers of Brit TV crime shows we figured that getting a game where the crime was located in the UK would be fitting. They loved it and immediately decided we had to play as a team. It took just under four hours for us to find the killer and we loved every minute of it. The game has paper items (crime scene photos, a local newspaper, police reports, forensic reports, etc etc) and there is also information you go online to access. We loved piecing it all together and finding alibis for the innocents among the suspects. We did use a few of the helpful hints online towards the end, not to cheat so much as to just verify that we were on the right path. We are already planning to meet up again soon (and regularly) to play another Cryptic Killers Unsolved Murder Mystery Game. We have played other brands and this company is THE BEST. My friend and I just finished playing this murder mystery game and we had a great time. All of the evidence and puzzles were super engaging and the difficulty was not too hard or not too easy. It was just the perfect level to make us think without getting frustrated, we loved how all the clues fit together and solving it felt really satisfying. We legit felt like detectives by the end and highly recommend for anyone who loves crime, mysteries or who wants to have a fun night. ... show more

    • Fun but challenging. Great family activity.
We did this activity with our two kids - age 11 and 13 - and it was really fun. It was pretty challenging but doable and took us about two hours. It was a little difficult for my 11-year-old, but there was still content that she could dig into and contribute on - I distributed the evidence appropriately so she could focus on the things I thought she would understand. We were super pleased and would definitely buy another. Also, the materials are fun and authentic-feeling and the online content is a good twist.     • Convoluted but fun
I loved the mystery and the fun of solving this case but the "digital component" was a bit convoluted and tedious.

I bought it just to try it and spend a different afternoon with my girlfriend and we had a great time, the case is interesting and fun to discover. Not too hard not too easy. I really recommend it, I will buy another case

Very fun puzzle, challenging but able to figure out with a good amount of time. We have played 3 of these and have fun every time. About an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours for all of these puzzles.

It’s fun and time consuming-in a good way! It gets you thinking and so curious until you figure out who did it! I loved writing out the lists of suspects, motive, alibi, etc! Highly recommend!
