  • 151 is almost guaranteed ROI
This set is responsible for getting tons of adults back into Pokemon. Its nostalgia. The Pokemon company knew what they were doing with this one. Demand was high and supply stayed low. They didnt sell booster boxes of them and they never increased printing. Rumors swirled that they were gonna do a reprint because of how popular it was and people still wanted them... unfortunatly, (or fortunatly if you bought them to keep sealed) there is no reprint coming and the prices keep going up and up. ... show more

  • Buyer BEWARE!!
Ordered/received 4 boxes. Same day delivery. This isnt relevant, but when I opened the bag it smelled like Marijuana, so the whole situation smelt funny from the start. All appeared to be legitimate and unmolested, that is, until I opened the boxes and examined the packs. For the 1st 2 boxes, packs had clear signs of tampering and resealing. The 2nd 2 boxes I opened had no signs of being opened and resealed. To the untrained eye its difficult to tell, but the seals were recrimped. I could see a thin, secondary crimp line running along the one created by the factory. There was glue residue on the crimps and on the pack faces themselves (likely a small mistake by the resealer), and there were strange dots/imprints on the back of the packaging near the company info on the ride side (not found on packs purchased in other trainer boxes from target or best buy). Light could be seen shining though the crimps of every pack where it was recrimped (see photos). This is NOT normal! I tested this against dozens of packs I had purchased directly from retailers. The packs were unusually difficult to open and generally tore in unconventional paths. Never did they open smooth, as they should. Upon opening the packs, there were a few where the energy card was immediately on the back (this doesn't follow the order from pokemon!) Normally, the energy is 2nd from the back. This is a BIG red flag. All things considered, these are VERY well done RESEALED authenic items. It is SCARY how well they did it. The cards were real, however, there was nothing noteworthy as far as pulls (not surprised). I am convinced that if this is your first experience with modern Pokémon, you would be none the wiser. This is a SCAM, carefully designed to appear as close to legitimate at possible. ... show more

  • I consider this open.. so not too happy about it.
The packaging was lacking in my humble opinion. Hope yall do better next time because the price was good, I thought.. 59 and some change.. this set, hell yeah. Still not sure if I'm going to rip it yet.. might do a return. Added to this.. ended up ripping it, pleasantly surprised with the shape of the cards. Good pulls. Originally wanted to hold on too it sealed but couldn't after the way I received it. All in all I'm giving it a bump up because the cards were in good shape. ... show more
