I have been trying to get off portable propane stoves for a while with RV camping. The 1# canisters are expensive and bulky. While this butane stove still requires butane canisters, the stove is way smaller and cheaper. I don’t think it really saves money but the space savings is more important. Great little stove! Zero learning curve. Burns hot (burnt my Jiffy pop, so sad). I camp often, but I usually rough it with a WhisperLite or Biolite CampStove if I'm feeling bougie (and have the weight to spare). This was an impulse buy that came just in time for fire ban season. I took this on a two week camping trip to Canada from my hometown state of Utah and dang this thing was sooo clutch. Easy to use, easy to store, easy to clean. And the fuel we used lasted a long time which was nice, still went thru like 4 bottles but that was because we were cooking most meals on it (group of 4 people for context). Received today. Looks like a great little stove. Bought for power outages. Usually happens on coldest days of holiday week. Would be nice to have a hot meal/coffee then. As mentioned by other reviewer the hard case was broken. One corner is completely broken off and there is a crack traveling clear across the top. If I carry it by the handle pretty sure the handle will break off. So good stove but expect to have to purchase a bag, case, etc. to protect and carry. The box that it came in was undamaged so whoever packed it up did so knowing it was broken. That’s on AMAZON. Would have received 5 stars otherwise. ... show more

Works perfect for KBBQ purposes. although you can find cheaper versions at asian markets, when this is on sale, its a pretty good deal. build quality seems a taaaaad better than what you would normally find in those stores, but its really not any different.

I thought this was much smaller than it is. I am very happy with it. I've only used it to percolate coffee so far. It took 7 minutes for my water to start to percolate. I've never used a butane stove before and I found it easy to use. It took a minute to figure out that the butane cannisters have a up side. It won't start otherwise. Also, I used this in my kitchen with a high power ceiling fan on, the stove worked flawlessly. I bought this for camping. But it's so portable you can use it just about anywhere. ... show more
