This machine has been a wonderul addition to our household. We were initially worried about our cats taking to it and they have so easily! I think they like it more than we do because the poo is always taken care of! Main Points to think about. 1. Daily care is so easy to do with the light indicator saying to empty it. The bags are easy to put in and stay secure from install to empty. I wish they would close a bit better when emptying, but hey, I no longer have to scoop poo! Compromise! 2. I don't find this machine loud at all by any means! It's a lot quieter than the arguing over who's turn it is to clean out the cat box lol! In fact, I never hear it. 3.We have any where from 2-6 cats in the house at any given time (we live in the country) and we never have had an issue as long as we take care to make sure the bag is replaced when needed. We usually look at night to double check before bed. 4. Make sure you use the correct litter as it really does make a difference. So far we have found that Arm and Hammer Slide has been exceptionally effective. 5. I believe they recommend a deep cleaning every two weeks, however I think it's fair to say you can push that if you are consistently emptying the bag. We have had this since December and we've done our first deep cleaning in March. This brings me to the deep cleaning. It was not as painful as we were concerned about. In fact we felt it was the easiest deep clean of a Litter box we have ever done. I think it took maybe 30 minutes. To be fair, it was really gross as we had to use clay litter (WHICH DOES NOT WORK) so there was a parking jam of poo! The empty feature was amazing!!! So after it was emptied the cleaning was really simple. 6. Totally get the step! If you have cats that make a litter path as they come and go, this will put their fun in place! Sorry kitties :) 7. I can't express how much we love this machine and what it has done for our lives which are busy. It has allowed us to enjoy our kitties so much more. Weirdly, we didn't realize how much the struggles of changing cat litter negatively affected our joy of kitties. 8. The odor impact. There may be a slight odor but nothing compared to the odor of traditional litter boxes. No longer is there the need to keep a ready supply of air freshener after you kitty with stinky poo uses the loo! 9, My mom thinks that I have said enough about this machine, but one more thing. If you have an elderly parent-especially as ancient as mine, this is the perfect thing for your parent to have and maintain their relationship with their kitty. It is easy to use from ages 4-99. First and foremost, the setup was so easy and can be done within minutes. The instructions were clear. Its sleek design doesn't just complement my living room decor, but it also offers my cats a private and clean space for their business. My cats are still fascinated by it when it is self-cleaning. The self-cleaning mechanism is efficient and leaves the litter in a good condition after each use. I actually have another litter box but my cats prefer to use the Catlink litter box which is good news - no more scooping for me! The media could not be loaded. I have two female cats 7 and 8 months old. I have had this litter box for a little over a month now. Worst decision of my life. I have to scrub the litter box daily. The pictures and video are what I deal with nightly. Despite filling this stupid thing with litter daily to keep it at a barely usable level, of you accidently add too mucb litter well your screwed as that litter is now wasted and goes into the void of the tray. If it runs on the schedule set forth by the app then any none of the urine or poop are fully solidified, it sticks every where, then when the cats get back in it to use the potty the stuck feces get on their fur....my cats get monthly baths....they shouldn't have to have a bath more often due to a LITTER BOX! I cannot even run it after they use it because it sticks every where. Yes it sounds convenient at first but definitely not worth the cost in cleaning supplies in the long run. If I could give it less than one star I would. Also with the app only one person can be signed into it at a time, if someone else signs in it kicks the other person out. The buttons on the unit take atleast 2-3 presses to respond before working, which makes you want to use the app, but if your not at home then the app doesn't work since it 100% relies on the wifi. ... show more
