The box is the right size; the high sides are great. The opening makes it easy for the cats to get in and out. I love that you can hook the scoop on the side of the box. My only small complaint is the scoop is a bit small and the mesh on the scoop is not fine enough to catch more.

I like the fact that it's a deep box and it helps to keep my kitty from kicking the kitty litter all over my floor. He also really likes it because he can go in it without any problems. He does play in it a little bit but hey it works great and it comes with its own kitty litter scoop

I got one of those cabinets to put the box into because it’s in the bedroom and it’s the smallest cheapest one I could find, I was really worried this wouldn’t fit but it’s perfect. The high sides keep all the litter and pee in the litterbox and it’s really well made, the clear part latches firmly in place but is easy to snap off if you’d rather remove it. So my cats are pretty chunky, yet they fit fine the boxes are wide and open. They both seem to like them and its lip is high enough that they won’t kick litter out unless they get really wild or excited.

I think there are some unfair reviews for this product. If you didn't want to spend a ton of money on a fancy litter box, you have 3 options. 1. A standard litter box. No top. Pros-it's cheap. Cons - your cat will definitely kick litter out onto the floor while covering their excrement and while stepping out of the box. 2. Standard box with full cover. Pros- it keeps your cat from kicking litter out. Cons - cats have a better sense of smell than we do. Imagine having to use a porta-pottie every time you use the bathroom 🤢 because that's what those are like for your cat. Also, you have to unhook the top every time you scoop. And the top collects dust, so you have to clean that too. 3. This litter box. Pros- The sides are high which prevents litter from being kicked out. It's inexpensive. Easy access for scooping. The scoop itself hangs on the top. It airs out so your cat isn't stuck in a smelly porta potty. The complaint I see is that wee can get in between the top and bottom. Of my 3 cats, only 1 of them does this (my girl believe it or not), occasionally. So I take the top off and clean in between once a week. It's no different than cleaning your own toilet. All pets require a little work cleaning up after them, but so do people. I do recommend getting one of those two layer litter mats for the front so the litter on their paws goes into the mat instead.     • Good idea but the top does not fit well.

I think it might work but could not use it because the lip did not fit the grooves on the litter box. It does not stay on the top of the litter box. I did not return it because it would have been hard to get a box and send it off. It didn't cost too much so I kept it. I am trying to use it as an outside bed under our porch for our outside kitties. I will find a use for it eventually. ... show more

This litter box is awesome. I had an issue with my cat peeing over the side of her litter boxes, and this solves the issue. It was easy to put together. I don’t notice a lasting smell.
