The scooter was well packaged. I'm the kind of person who follows instructions to the T, so I felt like they could have been more clear. There is an assembly video on the product page that was helpful (it was a different model than the one I purchased so some things were different). In all, assembly is about 15 minutes. The battery comes with some charge (I've put about 10 miles on so far without recharging it), so it can be immediately used. I was a little nervous about getting one of these as I knew my kids would want to ride it but I was also concerned about them falling. I really like that it has 3 selectable speeds. Speed #1 doesn't exceed 9 miles an hour (which isn't very fast when riding it), speed #2 goes to around 16 and speed #3 goes as fast as it will go. The scooter operates in the exact same manner regardless of what speed is selected, it just limits how fast it will go. It will go about 18.5 mph when I'm on it, but I'm about 180 pounds. I'm sure it goes faster if someone lighter is riding. I'm 6'2" and a little cramped (I'm told I look too big for the scooter), but don't feel uncomfortable on it. The basket is useful if I'm going up to the park and need to bring a few items. There's a light up headlight and taillight for dusk/night riding. The kickstand works as it should and the brakes do their job. The horn is just a bell that would basically hit with a spring loaded metal knob, but gets the job done. My kids love riding it. I like using it to get around the neighborhood. The battery life seems to be adequate for our use. Overall, it seems to be a great value for an electric scooter/bike. ... show more

I rode it for the first time and for me it was everything that was expected. With the many five star reviews, I couldn’t expect any thing different. The ride was perfect. The speed was exactly that was posted. The fit and finish was as good as anything I’ve had. Everything came that was posted. I like the screws and nuts,they are very good quality. I also like that they put a dab of loctite on the screws of the basket. That showed me that they put a lot of effort into building the scooter. The basket is formidable the thickness gauge of wire they used really pressed me. I would recommend the scooter to anyone that would appreciate a high quality little machine. ... show more

To start off was packaged very well and arrived earlier than expected, was easy to assemble and had some charge to test it, I got it put together an hr later after unpacking. The scooter is very small even for me I'm 5'10" seems very well built I like the full suspension very good power from the motor very quiet and climbs hills. I do like the wheels its full equipped with lights and fenders and a good seat and basket, what I dont like is no actual LCD display as advertised and the range varies but never been issue and I use daily to and from work. (Approximately 8 mile round trip) Would of gave 5 stars if I had a LCD display the battery indicator is trash! Good brakes and everything else just wish it was an option. ... show more

    • Dependable get around town quick
I liked it was 95% assembled, very well-packed, at a great price. Putting the top screws on the basket was tricky. The holes did not need to be that close to the frame. There's some cheapie wrenches incl. you can use them, but the hex keys are the only decent tools. The wrenches are jank. There's a zip tie to hold the brake light wire. You'll need to cut off the excess after attaching. Handlebars went on in under a minute. Charge it up, take it out and marvel at how I hear nothing riding it. It's whisper quite! No tire noise, no motor hum. The only thing I hear is when you start to go fast, is wind whistle a little from the headlight housing. Absolutely silent running! Brakes are smooth, no grabby, they regen the battery just a little too, but not enough to make much of a difference. Brake light feature taillight, gets brighter on the brakes. The scoot is very easy to ride and very comfy to sit on. It's best fit is for someone under 5'10. I'm 5'11 and a little hunched, knees a little high, but I'm ok. It's about 50 lbs or so. not too hard to carry up and down steps. That's why I got a scooter. It's too hard to get my e bike up and down 15 stairs. I dno't think anyone mentioned, the rear suspension springs can be adjusted for stiffness. Looking down on them, turn the housing counter-clockwise to make them softer, (less threads showing) clockwise to make them stiffer. They are fine as is for 175 lb. Too stiff for me, so I gave them a few turns each side the same time anti-clockwise so only 3 threads were showing above the housing. Make sure each side has the same. If it's too stiff, you'll feel and hear it rebound on bumps and it'll hop in back. What I don't like is that you don't get close to 15miles on a charge, especially with lights on. Maybe 12 if you baby the throttle and coast a lot. Full throttle everywhere, gets you only about 8 miles and the last 2 miles will be weak. Overall I love it! ... show more

    • Bad batteries
Says it can go 15 miles on one charge. My work is 6 miles away on relatively flat road. Barely any hills and they aren't really hills they're just slightly elevated than the rest and only a short distance as far as that goes. Anyways, I let the thing fully charge and here I am 3 miles to work with no juice in the battery. This is just messed up and I do not suggest anyone buy this unless they only live a mile from where they're trying to get to. Now, if this company would like to send me a new battery I would be open to that ... show more
