I got it to help with my commute and rode it the first time today for practice it was so much fun. However the manual didn't mention how to control the speed on the 800w scooter, it's the right throttle pulling it back is the speed or accelerator pull it to the speed you want to go the brakes are on the front of the handles. Next time put that part in the manual and show that in the video on here. But it rides nice, I'm 32 and it makes me feel 10 again awesome scooter. But I had to watch 100 videos to find a scooter without the two buttons that look like mine where the speed and to go you pull back on the right throttle put that on here in a video for new buyers. I almost thought it was broken till I found someone explain the 800 w and 25 mile scooter, and that to go and control speed it depends on how much you pull the throttle or bike handle back the one on the right. The scooter has a nice design, it does go at the speed it is advertised. It comes built already. It has a fast charge, but I will say the battery life is good for like a 1.5 hour it not meant for local long distance, only short distance. It is a kick start scooter. One of the issue I had is that the motor isn't strong even to pull me up a hill even a low one. Now I did purchase mine to handle weight higher then mine I weight 270 the scooter suppose to handle 300 but it was unable to pull me up even on a low hill. I think the way the scooter is built its meant more for flat land scooting and for average weight or little bit higher even if you buy the one for higher weight. I had other issues but I think it was just mines ... show more

I rode it for the first time and for me it was everything that was expected. With the many five star reviews, I couldn’t expect any thing different. The ride was perfect. The speed was exactly that was posted. The fit and finish was as good as anything I’ve had. Everything came that was posted. I like the screws and nuts,they are very good quality. I also like that they put a dab of loctite on the screws of the basket. That showed me that they put a lot of effort into building the scooter. Wasn't hard to put together, is fun to ride, but I am only giving it 3 stars as it will not go up small hills. I bought this scooter to take up to my mailbox, since I had surgery on my knee and it is not completely healed. I did not want to keep driving up there and no, my mailbox is not in front of my house nor attached to the house, it is up on a main road. However, when I took the scooter out to go up to that mailbox, I had to use my legs anyway since the scooter did not enough power to go up a small hill. No, this hill is really not that big, but enough for me not to want to walk up with earlier knee surgery. Wish I had bought a more powerful scooter. ... show more

The scooter was well packaged. I'm the kind of person who follows instructions to the T, so I felt like they could have been more clear. There is an assembly video on the product page that was helpful (it was a different model than the one I purchased so some things were different). In all, assembly is about 15 minutes. The battery comes with some charge (I've put about 10 miles on so far without recharging it), so it can be immediately used. I was a little nervous about getting one of these as I knew my kids would want to ride it but I was also concerned about them falling. I really like that it has 3 selectable speeds. Speed #1 doesn't exceed 9 miles an hour (which isn't very fast when riding it), speed #2 goes to around 16 and speed #3 goes as fast as it will go. The scooter operates in the exact same manner regardless of what speed is selected, it just limits how fast it will go. It will go about 18.5 mph when I'm on it, but I'm about 180 pounds. I'm sure it goes faster if someone lighter is riding. I'm 6'2" and a little cramped (I'm told I look too big for the scooter), but don't feel uncomfortable on it. The basket is useful if I'm going up to the park and need to bring a few items. There's a light up headlight and taillight for dusk/night riding. The kickstand works as it should and the brakes do their job. The horn is just a bell that would basically hit with a spring loaded metal knob, but gets the job done. My kids love riding it. I like using it to get around the neighborhood. The battery life seems to be adequate for our use. Overall, it seems to be a great value for an electric scooter/bike. ... show more

DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOTER While it arrives in perfect condition and is easy to assemble, the scooter would not turn on after a week of use. Was missing some tools but that's okay,I used my own. Checked all the parts and walk throughs,nothing was damaged or broken. Decided to have it returned and that is when everything went to hell. Amazon can't do anything because the package was shipped by FedEx. Called FedEx as instructed,was told they would pick it up, nobody picked it up, now I have to go pick it up from the facility and bring it back home and figure out what the hell to do with it. The phone numbers provided are Chinese or Japanese I have no friggin clue, the automated message is of no help at all and frankly I'm just frustrated. Don't waste your time. ... show more
