So, we bought a different model for my husband about 8 months ago & finally decided to get this slightly better one. ($10 price difference at the time) The original one came in with a broken front fork but the customer service was so great that I was willing to wait for the part to come in. Unfortunately, it took too long for me so I did end up getting the refund. I went ahead a reordered the exact same model & it came in perfect condition. It's been about a month, I believe, & it's still running as great as the first day!! Caroma is definitely a great brand & their customer service is spot on. We live in Tucson. I purchased this scooter because Lisa had broken her foot and needed the get around Avalon on Catalina Island where she worked for the summer as a massage therapist. We had to pay over $100 for shipping to the island, even though I'm an Amazon Prime Member. The scooter worked very well - - it was a great ride and had an excellent range. Two weeks later, it stopped working. It simply wouldn't go, even with a full charge. We contacted the seller who told us to send them a video of its not working. The site wouldn't accept the video (wrong format); so I sent a picture. I asked if the electric bike company on the island could fix it without voiding the warranty. They said no. They asked us to send a picture of the label on the controller. We didn't know what that was; so sent pictures of every label we could find on the scooter. The page wouldn't accept the pictures (wrong format.) I explained the situation and asked if they could just call me so we could work it out because Lisa was going back to Tucson soon. They said they couldn't call. They would send a new controller to our address in Tucson. We gave up. I gave the scooter to the electric bike shop on the island before we left. I asked them to fix it and then give it to someone who really needed it. (It's a small community where everyone knows each other.) So Lisa had to pay for transportation all summer, we have not scooter, and we're out $800. I'm not pleased. ... show more

PROS: 1 - Already 95% Assembled, you just need to use the hexagon key (provided in the black tool pouch) to lock the fold-up steering handle bar in. Also just plugging in and screw-mounting the rear break light (I didn't even read/expect that, but that is great to have!) 2 - Pleasantly speedy, even with my 6' 2" 235 Lbs male body. I actually had to practice my speed and maneuvers with the brakes to get accustomed to the scooter. It took me (personally, since I pedal bike every day) roughly five minutes to acclimate to the scooter! 3 - Easily Portable 4 - Has Toggle (ON/OFF) switch headlight for night. 5 - The aforementioned tool pouch comes with about ten tools (hexagon drivers, switchable screwdriver, and bolt wrenches), possibly for basic maintenance and adjustments, in the future. I didn't expect that either! 6 - Overall great product CONS (not really any, but I have one small mention) Truly, the only con for me (personally) is, maybe because I am a bigger person, I only get about a little more than a solid hour,...Maybe, hour and a half if I do not stop and accelerate to go on and off due to other people and vehicles to avoid. I am not really sure if it is even due to my weight class, since I think I may have read that about 1-1/2 hours of drive time per charge is the average. So, since the first ride, I always bring the charger in a waterproof pouch I already had in my closet, and tie it below the seat! Its definitely been a great Idea to do that! So, with that math, I guess, with incorporating variables, I get around 25 miles of distance, give or take, per full charge, soo not bad really! I do want to look to see about possible bigger capacity battery upgrades, eventually! ... show more

When I open. Ed this up.I was impressed at how durable and sturdy it was. So far i've had it four days And I have rode it to work 10 miles each way And have had no issues at all. Takes a 1/2 an hour and I'm taking the shortest route I can in the city. It does do 20 miles an hour, although you have to download a separate speedometer app in order to see that the only thing this shows is battery life. But there's no bluetooth connection like other scooters which is good so you can use it even if your phone dies. And I would no matter what recommend some sort of a mirror so you can see the traffic coming behind you and a phone mount if you download that app. I have coworkers that have tried it out and are now purchasing some for themselves. It's perfect for going camping. I'm being able to get around the campground. It's good just to run to the store and buy a few groceries or hit a burger joint. Go to an icecream stand. I used it to go fishing. The basket is bigger than you would expect and all you need is a couple bungee cords and you can stack things high on it. I'm giving it a 4 star review. I would give it a 5 if it had a speedometer. And a rear view Mirror. ... show more

The scooter was just as advertised. It was easy to assemble, and riding was a breeze, until I encountered any inclines in which it moved slower than a snail if at all. For the price I could deal with it but after riding when I attempted to turn it off and remove the key, the entire ignition came out. I've contacted Caroma Direct #1 and they helped me with my issue, and I am back on the road. ... show more
