I ordered this early December (2020) as a gift for myself. So it is about time I wrote a review. First, the good news. It was shipped direct from China and arrived well in advance of expected date. Now for the not so good news. It arrived without any instructions or parts list. I emailed the vendor and they replied promptly. They supplied minimal instructions and nothing else even though I specifically requested instructions and a parts list. Installation: The individual components appeared to match the image here on Amazon. Looking at the bag of hardware, I do not believe it is complete. A parts list would have helped, but as I said, none was provided. Instead, I bought a 5/8 inch thick piece of plywood. Cut it to the appropriate height and width. Purchased 1/4 inch machine bolts, nuts and washers. Then mounted it to the plywood. This allows for a non-permanent mounting that I can move or disassemble as needed. I did not use the sticky back panels they provided for two reasons. 1) I was not convinced they would be strong enough to hold up to repeated use. 2) The nuts that appeared to secure these panels are too small for the provided hole. As I mounted it to a plywood panel, it id secured to a stanchion in my garage using two cargo straps so I can easily move when needed. Actual Use: My concern was the arms that use bolts to apply pressure to hold them in place. With repeated striking they do eventually work their way loose. This isn’t a big problem, though, as they just simply need hand tightened. The arms and leg are solid and yet flexible enough to give without being mushy. Overall, the device works as expected. I would give it a better rating if instructions and a parts list were provided. I’m still not convinced the necessary hardware was included. Their reason for not supplying it was because there were none written in English. I requested Chinese version, but they never supplied it. ... show more

No assembly instructions or parts lists are included. Apparently, no instructions are available on line either. Took a lot of extemporizing to assemble it and get it mounted. Arms are too short and they contain very soft springs, which I don’t like. each arm is held in place by a simple turn screw. I think I may replace them with hardwood dowels. ... show more

My husband has always wanted a wooden dummy but we hmdo not have the space or the money so this is a giod alternative. Did not come with instructions or parts list but didn't expect it to thanks to reviews. We figured it out pretty easily. The adhesive parts are much stronger as expected. I've been doing Wing Chun for ten years, which requires practicing on a wooden man, and I can honestly say the portable parts are better than the original. 1. You can set the arms at any level on the tree, wavemaster, etc. for people of different heights. 2. The springs allow the arms and leg to move when blocking which is more realistic than moving your body around the static arms of a regular wooden man. 3.
