I am using these to add light patterns to RC Airplanes as they fly. An Arduino NANO USB-C is used to run 5 strings of 20 LED's ea. Total current draw is 470 ma with a brightness of 95. That is about half of what they are capable of. I power them separately with an LM7805 regulator whose input is taken from main 3s battery pack of the plane or from a separate dedicated 2s 500 ma battery depending on the aircraft. The FastLED library works perfectly. Cutting the strips is easy, as is determining the direction of information flow using the arrows on the strip. The adhesive on the back of the strip sticks well to the plane but not too well. There is an infinite variation of pattern available with these. These provide a great visual tool to get young folks interested in MCU programming and electronics as well. ... show more

EDIT..... They look amazing. Couldn't wait to try em with my arduino and make some Christmas patterns. Received the order on the 2nd hooked them up today and they don't work. Super bummed about that. May be just a solder point somewhere but idk. Maybe yours will work but mine didn't and I ain't got the time to return them 😭. ******EDIT****** I Did end up getting them to work, it was a bad solder point on the red power input. As soon as I hit it with some fresh solder lit right up. It happens all the time. The manufacturer emailed instantly after seeing the post and said they would send out a new one but I never responded and fixed it myself and by no means fault them. It was great they emailed without me contacting them and a simple fix with no time wasted is OK with me. I'll buy again from this company. Happy new year. ... show more

If you want individually addressable LEDS for a project this is a great way to go. This strip is low cost and ip65 rated. I am running several of these off an RPI4 hsing an external 5v 10A switching power supply and am very pleased with the performance.

The media could not be loaded. I used the strips inside 1” PEX tubing for my Christmas light display. You do need to be careful as the traces on the strips can be cut very easily.
