It is more slimmer then expected. The block is not very solid so it will move easily if it matters. Its clean but not good enough quality to be given as a wedding gift I would say!

Don’t expect a fancy set of knive. You get what you paid for. Knives are sharp and do what they’re suppose to do. I wouldnt expect them to last too long. Handles don’t feel too sturdy. Set comes with it down block which is nice for storage purposes.

I'm very impressed with the Bruntmor Cooking Knife Set. I had previously purchased another set of knives and was less than happy with the product. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much for $23, but this set pleasantly surprised me. There are 6 cooks knives, 6 steak knives, as well as a scissor, a sharpener and a stand. The first thing I tried cutting was an over ripe tomato. Good luck with that, right? It was absolutely not a problem. I then tried the bread knife and was equally happy. The stand is pretty light weight. I'm not sure if I'll use it at all, but the knives are exactly what I was hoping for. If you're on the fence, buy these knives. ... show more

    • Nice, economical set of sharp knives
The wood block is unfinished and very light, but surprisingly stable. I washed the knives (hand-washing is recommended) and placed them in the block without it tumbling over. This has every knife I'll ever use and 6 of the one I use the most. The blades are made of a thin, strong metal, probably stainless steel. They are very sharp. If you are used to very high quality knives, then this probably isn't what you want, but if you are looking for regular kitchen knives that don't cost a fortune, then these seem to be perfect for that. If you use knives for prying or turning screws, then you shouldn't get these. If you want to cut your food, these knives will do that easily. ... show more
