Husband wanted to just use another ring camera as a baby monitor for our infant room plus an additional radio so we could hear when she cried but once we started using this camera we realized how many features we would be missing out on: The picture is high quality about as good as the ring camera with same zoom capability. Aren’t booted off the network every 10 min like ring does. Can keep the monitor on continuously or let it fall into sleep mode (black screen but will still alert you for sound/movement). The only difference I noticed was that the ring camera could point the screen downwards a tiny bit more but not a huge deal. The motion detection is better on this than the ring camera though because it is more sensitive to minor changes (tiny limbs moving in the night) and you can specify an area within the picture to monitor for movement so it’s not constantly setting off false alarms if one of us are also in the room moving about in frame (can just set it to watch inside the crib for example). You can also adjust how sensitive you want the movement detection to be (low/med/high). Although we were both able to connect to the app through our phones, having the external monitor is so helpful as well since it frees up our phones at night if we need to use them for other things. The monitor feels solid and does a pretty good job of alerting us whenever there is movement or crying as it beeps (can be quite loud so we put it on the lowest setting which is plenty loud enough). The cry detection is great and works very well. The intercom is very clear and not muffled. Music and night light is helpful too. Really pleased with the quality and features of this camera. The only thing I had some trouble with was connecting both phones through the app but finally figured it out and now it is working well (have to connect one phone first then just send an invite to the other phone). I do also wish the volume for the room was a little louder on the monitor (is great on the app) as it can be hard to hear at times from a distance but the beeps help alert us very well so that makes up for it. ... show more

We have been using the [Monitor Model] for a month now, and it has been amazing. It is simple to install as well as operate; moreover, it comes with excellent image quality and sound quality. The temperature and humidity monitoring and auto-off feature are also very useful. A dedicated button for muting on the screen would be nice, because sometimes the baby cries too loudly and creates a sound feedback loop between the monitor’s speakers and the camera. I love this baby monitor. It is easy to set up, can be used with the CloudEdge app and can be used on phone or monitor. I love that the base has a nightlight. My favorite features are being able to set a notification when baby cries, moving the monitor camera from my phone, talking through the speakers and being able to see through the monitor even not in WiFi range! The Biofun Baby Monitor has a very high quality screen. It adjusts well to the light and dark and notifies you when there is sound in case you do not have the monitor screen in direct sight. I also love the fact that I can use my phone if the monitor screen runs out of battery. The battery has a long life when fully charged and the camera has a wide range of movement.     • Amazing Piucture Quality & Easy Setup

Well. The product was out of box and set up with 5 mins, very clear instructions and manual, with QR codes to facilitate the process if you need more info. Open the box and the camera plugs up and pairs to the monitor with ease, very simple to get running. The app, CloudEdge works wonders as well, has lots of customization options and features, the process of sharing the monitors feed with other family members couldn't have been easier. I also like that the system can add another camera and control them both, given my experience with this one,. I will likely add another I'm particularly fond of the temperature and humidity reading features, this extra bit of data allows for a deeper knowledge of the room conditions, and makes this a good unit for some off label uses, (greenhouse, chicken coop monitoring, etc.) The video quality is pretty darn good, I can clearly see many details and control the orientation of the camera through the monitor or app. My only compliant is that even on the lowest sensitivity setting the noise alerts are too sensitive, pinging me with notifications for when its actually me walking or working in another room (old house, knocks creaks etc.). I would like to see some more in-depth sensitivity settings in a future app/device update. To test the distance of the monitor and WIFI strength I actually set it up out in the backyard in my chicken coop and used it as a way to monitor the chicks for a bit, It worked great at roughly 75ft away from the router. It works very nice as a chicken coop camera if you turn off the noise level notifications. All in all, I would recommend this unit and will purchase them as gifts for friends with new babies (or chickens lol). The noise alerts do give you a decibel rating, so hopefully a future software update would allow for setting notification levels by decibel range as opposed to just "High" "Medium" and "Low" ... show more

This monitor is light and pretty. It also worked spotless for about 6-8 months. However after that there was some static in the sound over night. Customer service reached out to me and I sent them a video of the monitor at night with the sound. they send me a new one right away. Still expecting the new product but even with the sound issue, it was better than any Motorola product I have tried. ... show more
