The VTech VM919HD Video Baby Monitor allows you to check in on your little one on the industry's largest 7" parent unit in 720p High Definition. Enjoy the crisp and True-Color videos in a large screen with 110 degrees wide angle, thanks for the monitor system's state of the art COMS image sensor. Plug & play, the monitor's parent unit and camera are configured for local monitoring out of box. Intuitive to use, the camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side achieving 360 degrees field of viewing, tilts up to 100 degrees up and down, and zooms up to 4 times from the parent unit. Featured great features such as 2 way audio talk, 4 soothing sounds including white noise and a trickling stream, 5 lullabies that play right from the camera unit to help baby sleep tight. Even after dark, you'll be able to see your baby clearly thanks to automatic infrared night vision in HD clarity. The parent unit's screen is sound activated which be turned off to save power until it senses baby's cry or reaching your preset VOX level. Plus the built-in temperature sensor will let you know with an alert if the nursery is getting too hot or cold so you can adjust the thermostat.

    • Good monitor, kickstand snapped off- customer service will not respond

We’ve used the monitor for 6 months and it has worked great. However, the kickstand completely fell off after 3 months of use (no rough use, no dropping it). I picked it up one day and the kickstand literally fell to the floor so now I can’t prop it up at night to see my baby. I’ve reached out to customer service 3 months ago and just recently and have not heard back either time. I likely will not repurchase this brand due to the lack of customer service. ... show more

My husband and I absolutely LOVED this baby monitor. It did everything we needed and more. But right after the year mark ( that’s when the warranty ends) it stopped working properly. The battery lasts 20 minutes unplugged and there is no sound. I have done the product support and connected the company private party. And I have had no luck in getting a new battery or product sent to me. I understand it’s been over a year, barely but still over a year and the warranty doesn’t cover it. I just wish the monitor would have lasted longer for the price that we paid. ... show more

so we bought this in october 2021, i will say it has amazing picture quality both day and night, the monitor battery started off goof but then slowly started to get worse. about Jan 2023 we were having sound issues from the camera, where we weren't getting any sound at all, we ended up ordering another camera, but by time we received the new one, the sound started working again. now may 2023, the monitor screen decided to stop working, it first started by freezing the picture, and now it wont even turn on. I'm not sure how long these are expected to last, but i will say for the price of it, i thought we would get a few more years out of it before having to replace it ... show more

If you don't want photo age of your baby available to internet hackers, I recommend this monitor. It's got great range, a large display, and solid battery life. I tried an alternative after we moved and had lost a part. That alternative was quickly shown the door. Only downside, as is with all of these intranet based monitors, is that you can only view on the screen itself and not on your phone. Still, easy trade off to make. Get one. ... show more

No camera lights!!! (It goes off right after activation) I absolutely love this monitor! We have it in our bedroom and it’s mostly in a corner on a dresser it matches in style of wood- it matches the room and feels soft (as elegant as it might try to be- it actually does have style better than others!) I have used this for weeks now, and I could return it for a 4 camera system I am keeping around the house, which has a smaller more pocket friendly display (5”). This is so much bigger. It’s not too hard to carry, but I will be finding a small bag to protect it soon, mostly I kickstand it on the counter of kitchen to clean, and side table to watch movies at night. If I have to go declutter/tidy many rooms and do laundry, it gets a little harder to carry. I love love how easy and clear it is to see and hear Littles (which share a bedroom) at night on a great display, so it’s really won me on that. I can glance and it’s just a really good quality to be extra quick on getting reassurance it’s all good. There is a lot to love about this monitor, but it’s limited to one room/one camera... shrug, if it suits your space for that- I highly recommend this one. No camera lights are important, and also watch out for the battery life and this one has been just fine for these few weeks. ... show more

    • THE BEST- Won’t regret it

After buying hundreds of clothes, toys, gadgets, etc. the first few years with our toddler- this product BY FAR is the best we have purchased. We have had very simple to complex monitors over the past 2 years (audio only V tech all the way up to Owl camera), this by far is the best made, most user friendly and the best screen display and usability. The screen itself is huge. Whenever our friends come over they are shocked by the comparison. The camera can also be moved, rotated and zoomed via the controls of the parents monitor. We had the previous model which got lost on a flight sadly. The new model is slightly more esthetically pleasing with a faux bamboo looking camera as opposed to the original plain white. It’s cute and looks well made. It also comes with a wall hook if you are planning to mount it above baby’s bed. We travel often so have never used this feature. The monitor also has a built in sound machine with a handful of lullabies, white noise, crickets, etc. which is nice if you are toting this around and don’t want to bring a ton of gear. When I went to set up our new model it required LITERALLY no set up. All I did was press the ON button and it automatically found the camera- no button pushing, syncing, linking, imputing wireless, etc. The monitor has never had issues finding connection, even when visiting my parents who have really questionable service. It also has an “antenna” (not the kind your thinking of, but a small white extension) for extra power if you have a big house or have trouble with WIFI. And there you have it.
