This is our FOURTH baby monitor that we have purchased on Amazon, and I can finally say that we found one that works great and is an excellent value. The first two baby monitors that we purchased were made by "Good Baby" and "Eufy" had problems were they FROZE in the middle of the night. Our baby was crying hysterically for who knows how long, because the audio was stopped, and the video was frozen on these two old monitors from Amazon. Have to returning those, the next monitor we got was the "infant optics pro" monitor, which cost $200, and has issues with video quality, as well as with the temperature reading. It definitely was not worth $200... Finally, we purchased this monitor by LeapFrog. This is a well-built monitor, with an excellent camera, which you can control remotely. There's also a color night vision, which really is just a low light camera, so if it's too dark it doesn't work, but either way, if using that camera or the regular night vision, the video quality is crisp and clear. This monitor also has the best range out of all the monitors we tried. Our house is old and has lead in the walls, but this monitor is able to get past that better than any of the others that we tried. There are LEDs that light up on the side when the baby is cry, so you can see the crying even if your audio is low and the LCD screen is turned off. The temperature monitor is accurate to a 10th of a degree, which is the best we found out of any of the monitors, and also, a humidity meter is shown as well. The few minor shortcomings of this monitor are in my opinion related to the volume control. To adjust the volume, you first have to press a separate volume button, then press up and down on some arrow keys that normally control the camera position. I just wish that there were dedicated up and down volume buttons. Secondly, when the screen is off, and the volume is mute completely, there's no indication via LEDs or any other feature to remind you that the monitor is muted, aside from when the baby is crying and those LEDs light up on the side. Aside from these minor issues, this is an excellent baby monitor, and after testing several others that are very popular on Amazon, I would recommend this to anybody to monitor their baby. ... show more

I don’t normally write reviews so quickly after purchasing but the quality of this camera compared to others I’ve had, this camera is amazing! I’ve had 3 kids so I’m well versed in the baby monitor department. I always look for distance range, picture quality, accuracy, and sensitivity. Being that this monitor has motion detection, sound detection, and temp warnings is awesome! I love that you can change the sensitivity or completely shut it off is a bonus. My daughter has a sound machine in her room so I shut off the sound detection but kept the motion. I will say the LCD auto-off is kind of picky. I think the sound machine sets it off. The reception does lag by maybe a second max but for the quality of the image I’ll take it! The speaker on the camera is clear and loud and I LOVE that it has a little nightlight. It even came with the wall mount. Like, cmon!? Amazing. As you can see in the pictures, the night mode is awesome! Picks up my daughter well and even gets the detail of her blanket? Far better than majority competitors if you’re specifically looking at baby monitors. All in all this camera is amazing for the price! I’ll keep updated on the longevity. But I’m honestly impressed. Updating August 3, 3023: We’re over a year in and it still works like a beaut! No picture lagging aside from the minor one second I spoke of before, the image is still just as bright and crisp, the speaker still works great, and the panning option is amazing now that my daughter is almost 2 and roaming around.     • Totally worth the money!

We had Infant Optics DXR-8 for almost 2 years, it works good but month ago the night visions stop working and the changing of parent unit does work anymore. Don’t wanna pay that price so I got this cheap one for a try. We been using it for a month now, I’m pretty happy about it! The parent unit screen is small, but we quickly adjusted it, and now we think the size of fine especially smaller for travel! I got the $59 one for pan, liked the light function which our old one doesn’t have. The music is not that good, but we are used to have dream egg white noise machine, so the music function is no needed for us. But over all, it’s more than half price of our old one, and fit our needs, why pay more? ... show more

This has a very large, bright, and colorful screen. The rotation feature is great to see different parts of the room, and it just helps so you don't have to position the camera perfectly the first time and can adjust it afterwards. The two way speaker works well, and the night light is a nice feature. Night mode works very well and everything can be seen in good detail. The sound quality is clear and it seems to alert appropriately when sound is made and has accurate measurements on it (humidity/temp). Overall, I highly recommend this product because it functions so well, is useful and has a big, crisp screen. My biggest complaint with this product is that the plugs look like they could be interchangeable between the monitor and camera, but that doesn't seem to be the case. With my first one, I tried pushing it in thinking the fit was a bit tight, and I must have misaligned the monitor's internal prong, so that the correct plug would no longer charge the device. After reaching out to LeapFrog, I had no response or help from them regarding the issue, but Amazon sent me a replacement since the seller didn't respond, and I made sure to be more cautious with this device and have had no problems. ... show more

I love this monitor. Picture is crisp, zoom is great. You can adjust it to just about anywhere in the room. The charge on the monitor lasts several days (we only use the monitor during naps). It dims after a while so it’s good for keeping on your nightstand while you sleep. Easy to operate. Love it!
