It has a well built metal frame and a heavy duty canvas. It's very easy to assemble, the only problem is they should have put more adjustment in the lowering bar. I drilled two more holes to lower canvas to ride in bus. My friend loves it and it is going to enjoy it for a long time

    • Shakes when riding
When riding it shakes a lot doesnt feel secure . There is only two screws and the pole connections part are thin . It does provide shade . Material is good . Just needs to be more stable.

Product is very good, it covers the person sitting on the scooter, it isn't as heavy as I thought it would be which is a plus! The only hard thing I had with this canopy umbrella was putting the canopy on - like stretching it out to fit. I may have started putting it on wrong, although I did get it put on, it was just a wee bit of an annoyance in trying to pull/stretch it on the front/back to fit it. Other than that, 10/10 recommend this! Very convienient for those who use a scooter/go-go. ... show more

    • Nice shade and weather protection
So this canopy is a little unstable as far as rattling over bumps and what not, however I believe that if I found a hitch brace like there are for normal hitches it would alleviate the rattling however as to the movement side to side securing the upper portion to the headrest poles with zip ties and using strapping with. Buckle down at the bottom and middle make it more secure with less wobble. During the winter here in mn I plan on getting some clear curtain or vinyl to place at front and on the side to keep snow from blowing right in at me and also keeping some more of the wind from bothering me however I will need to place a few holes in it so that some air can go through and not push the curtain in even though the bottom will also be secured. By the way I have this on my silverado extreme so its also able to handle the weight pretty well and we shall see once I hook up the single support wheel for the canopy and or my storage case so they are putting less weight on the scooter and make it more secure. ... show more

The reviews are correct! Very wobbly and the canvas cover does not fit properly. Great idea, but needs improvements.

    • Misleading advertisement...Definitely NOT a "folding" canopy!
I sent message to seller asking how this canopy folds...here is reply from Diane at Top Mobility... "The canopy fabric can be removed and folded but not in the same manner as an umbrella." It is advertised as "folding", not taking canopy off and folding it! VERY misleading! Anyone can see it would not fold as an umbrella. I assumed, wrongly, that it would simply have the ability to just fold down if you didn't want it overhead. I am 74 and cannot remove the fabric easily, plus my mobility scooter folds into 5 pieces to transport. With this top, the entire top piece has to be removed. Remove the fabric then fold it...really? That's their reason for calling it a "folding canopy".... ... show more
