I've had golf practice nets before using fiberglass like rods with and elastic shock cord run in the middle that holds the sections together when assembled and can bend to a variety of curves. Then utilizes a polyurethane fabric as the backdrop. Yeah, great, but they are very light weight at best and the poly fabric acts great as a sail. I like this golf net which has heavy duty but a net so does not catch the wind. The skeleton frame is heavy duty. I don't want to set up a practice net and watch it blow away because it's basically a sail nor do I want to set one up every couple days when I practice during golf season. I wanted a pop up practice net that I could leave up in my backyard. This fits the bill at a decent cost and will serve its purpose well! While there are not a whole lot of options to make these differently, the steel poles always fill with water and then start to rust. Not only does rust eventually lead to failure, it almost always drains out rusty orange water that stains everything! I will set this up accordingly. I recently purchased this golf net. I really like it because it is very durable and easy to assemble. Also, the net is a good size and comes with a carrying bag. The bag is a nice touch because it makes it easy to store and transport the net when not in use.

The media could not be loaded. Easy setup, sturdy build, impact cloth target. This is a tried and true design that the wear and tear part is the net and impact cloth straps. The poles are a little smaller in diameter to other net setups I’ve owned but there’s a bottom pole that’s a steel tube to add rigidity. It’s a good size without the huge footprint that tent setups require. No need to really anchor it down unless it’s a windy day. Note that the impact cloth doesn’t anchor to the bottom, just the top. After a ball strike, the ball simply falls and will lay at the base of the net. My habit is to just use one ball and drag the ball back to position on the mat after each shot. Golf nets enable that satisfying ball strike feel from hitting a ball with a full swing. Then an added bonus is the snap sounds the ball makes when it slaps the target backer cloth. Only downside is this doesn’t have a tall height with ceiling net so you can’t hit high lob wedge shots. ... show more
