This chair was easy to assemble and once it was I thought hey, it's a decent looking chair and I like the look of the walnut wood and black fabric quite a bit. After playing with the adjustments which worked as they should I got the seat to the right height and firmness as far as tilt and how easily it rocks. I am sitting in it now and what I think after 20 minutes or so is I am wishing the back was a bit taller. My lower back fits into it okay however which is good because that is my weak point. I think a larger person might find the seat with its curvature a bit restricting and they might not be comfortable. Playing with the height adjustment lever it somewhat feels a bit thin or flimsy so wondering if it could bend down the road? Not having armrest is something that I need to get used to and not sure if I like not having them. The faux leather is soft to the touch and looks durable but only time will tell for sure. It rolls around like it should and the casters seem like quality plastic but again only time will tell how they will hold up. This is a pretty nice chair but is currently priced on the high when looking at other similar ones so? ... show more

This chair is a huge winner! It looks great, the wood and ‘leather’ look is very modern yet timeless- it has appeal to a variety of design styles so I can see it being part of my home for a long time, whether I redecorate later or not. It is extremely comfortable- I have it at my desk where I sew, craft and do general office work. This chair has to be supportive and comfortable to a number of positions. One thing I’ve learned is that when sewing I sit differently than when I’m writing or painting. I can adjust this chair easily and feel comfortable. It needs to be assembled but my husband had it together in less than 10mins. I was loading the laundry and came back and it was already together! So super easy! So much about this chair is well made that it leaves me with very few complaints. Parts were organized and seperated well which prevented them clinging together like a common issue with other shipped furniture lately; This was nice because it meant to chipping or worn parts early. From there everything in the put together was an absolute breeze to complete and assemble. Narrow metal base frame should be more resistant to wide polymer ones that just LOVE to absorb dust so for cleanliness I really enjoy that about this. While few my only complaints about the chair are how small and narrow it is which has in a way encouraged better posture on my part but with unmoving arms it can make sitting slightly less comfortable for long periods of time. Seat cushion wears down faster than I had hoped but not a major problem since thats pretty common across the industry (don't know why it is though) and my biggest complaint is that the hydraulic cylinder doesn't hold its position which regularly deflates and means I have to adjust it multiple times. Over all an awesome and well made chair with just minor complaints and general random lemon problems. Far from the worst chair I have had but the problems can be hard to overlook. ... show more

For the price, it's a pretty reasonable chair. I'm not very heavy so it didn't really bother me at all, but my heavier friend sat in it for a while and wasn't very comfortable. Chairs are so, so, so subjective though.

My teenage daughter uses this daily, sometimes for long stretches. It is her seat for schooling as well as gaming on a computer. She says it's comfortable and much better than what we had previously. For my taste, the back is a little too upright. The cushion is comfortable, though, and I appreciate the extra padding on the armrest. That elevates it quite a bit. It was easy enough to assemble.
