UPDATE: after almost 3 years of use this thing is still going strong and as far as I know it has NEVER stopped working, even in the winter months with considerably less sunlight during the day! Still extremely happy with this purchase!!! This thing does what it says and does it very well! I have a large pool surrounded by palms trees and various other tress, theres always something falling into my pool. I also have a hayward vac that roams the bottom of my pool ( it does a great job too, but that a different review), the only issue I have is the Betta cant go over the hose for the Hayward and will get stuck temporarily from time to time. Keep in mind this device moves slow and randomly, you should remove any toys, pool noodles, floating chairs etc when using the Betta as those things will just get in the way. That being said, when the bottom vac is running it becomes less of a problem for the Betta as the hose moves around the pool so the Betta frees itself up rather quickly and continues doing its job. I will occasionally remove the hayward and leave just the Betta in the pool unobstructed, this when the unit does its best work. I havent had to use the skimmer net since I put the Betta in the pool. And even when the hayward is in the pool (which is 99% of the time) the Betta still does a great job! This thing is well designed, solidly constructed and the battery is amazing, it has a huge solar panel on top that runs and charges the battery during the day, then the unit continues to run throughout the night, I was up at 430 am the other day and the unit was still at work, it has run continuously since i first dropped it in the pool! I live in southern Arizona so our days are long, hot and sunny in the summer, I would expect that in the winter time it will finally take a rest sometime during the night. Oh yeah, my pool has never been cleaner and I am swimming more and spending less time cleaning! I just empty the basket every few days, thats it! It is absolutely worth every penny!!! ... show more

    • A real game changer for the cleanliness of our pool!!

This little machine is a work horse!! It has totally changed the look and cleanliness of our pool. We have a lot of oak trees and palm trees around the pool so we ALWAYS had a layer of something on the top of our pool. Whether it was a layer of pollen from the palm trees or leaves from the oak trees, our pool always had stuff on the top. Whenever we wanted to swim, I would have to first pull out my pool skimmer and skim the entire top of the water. However, now that we have this little guy, I NEVER have to skim the top of our pool and it always looks beautiful! I mean honestly, I think this is the best purchase I've made on Amazon. Our pool always looks clean now. I wish I had known about this product years ago. It really does make a huge difference in how our pool looks. And, this guy never stops! He is always working! I've owned my own business for the past 20+ years and I've had a lot of employees over the years. When I go out back and watch this guy working, I think to myself: " This is the best employee I've ever had!" lol. I mean, you buy it once and you're done. No additional payroll, no payroll taxes, he's not calling in sick or just not showing up, and he NEVER complains, lol. Now of course since it's solar operated there are days where it won't work. But those days are few and far between as we live in Southern California. But even on cloudy days it still works great as it doesn't require full sun to get charged. It just runs and runs almost 24/7. The durability is amazing. I've had this since August, 2023 and it still runs the same as it did the day that we got it. If you have a pool you NEED this product! It will keep the top of your pool free of leaves, dust, dirt, pollen, etc. It feels so much nicer jumping into a pool with a PERFECTLY spotless top layer, rather than having to first skim it and hope I got everything. If you want to look at and swim in a clean pool, you really should buy this wonderful machine. ****Update**** It's now 9/25/2024 and my Betta is still running as strong as it was the day I received it! I'm still super happy with this purchase and I am constantly recommending it to all of my friends & family who have pools. The only critique I've had is that sometimes it would get stuck in the skimmer when my pool filter was running. I noticed that they are now including an "anti-stuck foam noodle" to fix this issue. So, I called the company and spoke with Hector. I told him about my issue and he said he would be shipping out the anti-stuck foam noodle in today's mail. I usually don’t write any reviews but, this is by far one of the best items I have purchased for the price it was paid. Damm thing still cleans and keeps going after sunset for 4 to 5 hours. Never a problem, keeps the pool super clean. Congrats to the inventors and owners of the company.
