    • Great for learning to swim
My daughters used these boards for their swim lessons. It helped them learn to kick their feet and gradually they started swimming without the boards. The boards are still a fun toy. They arrived just like the picture shows. After several months they still look and work like new.

So I have several little ones who are just learning to swim and kick-boards were always used when we were taught as kids. So I like that it's a set of three, too. The kick boards are great quality, very sturdy and durable. They also look cool, each one with its own design. And they are the perfect size for toddlers and older children. I am a professional water safety instructor (20+years now) and use high quality yet plain kickboards with my preschool students but I saw these and they looked so fun so I thought I would give them a try. In my 3rd photo you can see my comparison of one of my high quality kick boards to the shark Back Bay Play kick board. The blue one is a solid piece and thinner (easier to hold). These kkckboards have a fabric like front cover that appears to somehow be sewn in - therefore it will not last at all past one summer in chlorine with lots of use. I will try to update this after we use the this entire summer if I remember. They are larger and very lightweight and very colorful and fun! I don't know if these will be suitable (size wise) for my preschool students. It's probably better for larger hands to grip. They are cute though. ... show more

These arrived very well packaged, however upon opening I was very skeptical. They look like bits of styrofoam essentially covered in landscape fabric. While I could telly they were made nicely, the construction was uniform, the covers sewn on neatly and securely but I was very cautious of how they would hold up. I am SHOCKED at how well they have preformed. They are a pool favorite among all that come to swim, young and old. The covers dry out nicely between swims, if they were made of thicker material I don't think that would be the case. The styrofoam is so strong, some roudy adults have used them in ways not intended and they are holding strong. I have 2 young swimmers and this is really helping them position their bodies correctly and naturally encouraging them to kick their feet. It takes my verbal instructions and applys them through function, so I can quietly support them and they can instinctively practice. My older "fish" love playing games with them, swimming under them, letting toys float on top, ect. Honestly I am ashamed to admit that was was skeptical of these after how well they have preformed. I TRIED to save these for pool season, but as soon as they were eye-spied, my niece and nephew snatched them up and headed to the bathtub. *blink *blink These little boogie boards are so cute. The colors are very vibrant and the vinyl material is a good quality. The boards work as intend, and, it turns out, work just as well in the untended realm of the bathtub. 100% recommend! ... show more
