Very nice even lighting with zero hotspots. I combined it with a diffuser to make a bit less glare for my kid and protect it from cooking splashes, but if you don't have a waist-high person running around and the strip is somewhere where it won't be touched you could get away without it. The strip is pretty easy to install. Cut points every 2" are marked well, the adhesive backing sticks nicely, and the pads take solder without any trouble. At 24V (from an Armacost 60W power supply) the strip uses approximately 3.5W per foot (actually draws 286mW/in but 3.5W/ft is a nice round number to give you a bit of headroom). The full length will draw about 56 watts, so you can just get away with a 60W power supply. ... show more

I love this lights. I got them for under cabinet lighting, but i ended up installing it in a mini bar and kitchen island also. It looks amazing. I really recommend it.

I really like these lights, they are a continuous roll of led’s and are finished with a nice enclosure to give it a luxury finish. It’s much nicer than the other type of led strips with the exposed diodes that look tacky when they’re turned off. I don’t know why I expected a power supply to come with these, but it didn’t, so make sure to add one to your shopping list in order to hit the ground running once it arrives. 🤪 ... show more

Really high quality lighting. VERY bright, great color accuracy. I paired it with the universal+ transformer from Armacost and patched it all into a Lutron Caseta system via the Lutron smart dimmer device. I purchased diffusers to use with it but found those actually made the light more yellow than I liked, plus the COB really doesn't need a diffuser, even right over a white quartz counter and backsplash which is pretty high sine. Don’t get me wrong they’re bright and go a long way but my issue was trying to figure out how to install it. It seems straight forward to my husband but I was trying to install them and it wasn’t mom friendly. The wires confused me even with the instructions.     • More complicated than I expected

This turned out to be a much bigger project than I expected, and frankly, a little over my head. I did read that the light strip did not come with a power supply, and that it needed a 24 v power supply. So I purchased a 24 v power supply to go with it. But I wanted the ability to be able to turn the lights on and off without having to unplug them. So I also purchased a dimmer switch. But when I tried to hook it all up, then I realized that to use a dimmer switch, you need a dimmable power supply, which I did not buy, and which is much more expensive. In the meantime, I did try to just hook up the lights to the power supply I bought to see if they would work, which involved screws and wires. It wasn't just plug and play. But I thought I did it right. And when I plugged it in, the light strip lit up for just a second. Then went out. So maybe I didn't do it correctly after all. As I said, I think I got in over my head. I am returning the power supply and dimmer switch I bought for now, and I may have to rethink the whole project before I buy another power supply and switch. I think I need help. For now, I would say, be sure you know what you're doing if you buy this tape light strip. ... show more
