This fan can push a lot of air. It has four settings (oddly, the knob goes 0,3,2,1 with 3 being the highest Not sure why they didn't make it 0,1,2,3 like every other fan). On highest speed, it's very loud but pushes out a lot of air. I could see this being useful if you want to remove cooking smells from a room quickly or some other similar use-case. Not really a setting you'd use if you were trying to concentrate nearby. On the lowest speed, it's barely audible, yet still working hard enough to get some good airflow. This thing is small but packs a punch. It cools my room, blows hard, and has a nice noise for when I sleep. The biggest downside is it only lasted a year before it quit turning on. My 2nd fan of this brand is holding strong and it works well while it lasts so for the price it is hard to beat.
