  • Does a great job!
Color: Space Gray
The media could not be loaded. Firstly, I have only used the Scuba once and it's far more complicated (modes and the AI used to attempt to cover the entire pool) than my other pool cleaner so I'll come back and post an update once I have more information. I'm also going to upload a short video. Unpacking: The unpacking was simple and it was extremely well packed so arrived pristine and arrived fast, I believe 2 days. Charging: This was simple, just pull out the rubber plug and plug in the electrical cord and it charges. Ready for the first voyage: I unplugged it from the charger and then refit the rubber plug. I brought it to my "small 3500 gallon" all tile pool and held the button for a few seconds, it turned on and I put it into the pool. Walls: It immediately started cleaning the walls, It wasn't perfect coverage but it did it's job and kept moving a bit to the right and then doing the next line on the wall. My other cleaner only does floors. Steps: I have a unique "Spool" that is 7x13x5.5'deep. You walk in on the one edge and there are a narrow series of steps that you follow down the short side of the pool and then turn and you're in the pool. The Scuba would make it's way up the wall and then across the step and then finish up the wall. Then it would work it's way back down, across the step and then down to the bottom and then would turn slightly to the right and do the next line. It would pause periodically to try to figure out what to do but always seemed to find a way off the steps even when one of the treads was not touching. Even in the corner it is a tight step but it managed to just fit. It fell sideways but eventually got itself back off the small step. I didn't give it hours in the auto mode to see if it would cover everything but perhaps next time I will. Floor: It wasn't spending much time on the floor and instead was working on the walls pretty much for 45 minutes or so. I decided time to crack open the manual for the first time and see what I could figure out. There are many modes. I believe it was in the full auto floor and walls mode but honestly, I didn't confirm the LED so I will have to try it again. However, I pressed the button a few times until it was set to floor only mode and put it back in the pool. I watched it for maybe 20 minutes and it was hard to determine what it's game plan was but it wasn't slowly covering inch by inch, it was moving around a bit erratic. There was a lot of noticeable dirt all over the floor so I decided to leave it be and go about another project I needed to work on. I came back about an hour later, so probably around 2 hours total run time, and it was still happily running and what's more, NOT A SPEC OF DIRT ON THE FLOOR! It cleaned everything spotless! Cleaning the dirt collection: I had a different pool cleaner that was much more difficult to clean out. This guy was dead easy. Lift the cover, pull out the screen/net basket (which had a ton of dirt and debris in it), and spray it down with the garden hose and you're good to go! Conclusion: I still have to fully take the covers off the pool and put the Scuba back in set to floor and wall mode and then just let it do it's thing. I thought I read that it can run for 90 minutes but I'm sure it was running much longer than that. I'll fully charge it and run it in full auto and see how it works. That said, it did a great job on the floor and seemed to be doing a nice job on the walls. Very impressed with the battery life. ... show more

  • Excellent Robotic Pool Cleaner
Color: Space Gray
I did my due deligence befor buying this (many video reviews on you tube). I chose this one over the more expensive model by the same company as I have a basic pool with a spa. This has 4 modes-eco (leave it in the pool and get 3 cleanings every 48 hours before needing to be recharged), wall+ floor mode, floors only, and walls only. This thing climbs walls and srubs the waterline. I got rid of my wall vac pool cleaner and now the skimmer has full suction to get the surface debris clean. Highly recommended at a reasonable price. I don't need wifi, smart fuctions as I just drop it in the pool and forget about it until it docks on the floor of my pool when finished cleaning. The hook provided makes it easy to retrieve. You wont be disappointed. ... show more

  • Overall Pretty Impressed
Color: Blue
I've been through a a few corded pool robots over the last 6 years. The never seen to last longer than ~2 years. I've tried a cordless before and it wasn't adequate for my pool (40,000 gallon, up to 8 feet deep). I decided to try again. Overall, I'm happy with the choice, but it leaves me wanting more and excited for the next generation of wireless pool cleaners. It is good value for the money relative to other products though. It does work well. Auction is good.It picks up all the dirt, leaves, algae, tiny pebbles that is passed over. It climbs walls effortlessly, but does not climb my stairs. When I use the full cycle (no wall) it does clean my entire pool bottom in one run, most of the time. Occasionally, it would miss a leave or two. In wall and floor setting, it usually misses a little more. The 3 45-minute cleaning setting in a week is a nice feature, but each cycle is never enough to actually clean thoroughly. This leaves me pining for more settings. How about an 1:15, twice a week? EEtc. It cleans the attached hot tub (waterfalls to pool) easily.. I usually just use the 45 minute mode, drop it in, then use the rest of the battery on a full mode in the main pool. The filter basket is very easy to clean. Zero complaints there. Now where it loses a star and maybe should be two: getting it out of the pool. It's a major pain when it decides to stop or does in the far end of the deep side. I have a wall ledge on one side of my pool, it's not easy to walk to that side and use a 10 foot stick to fish it out while standing on a ledge. I opt for the 16 or 24 foot stick from across the entire pool... And to make it more challenging, the hole on the robot where the fish stick must attach in order to succeed: it's black, just like the rest of the robot. Why could the hole that you are trying to target from 20 feet away not be a more contrasting color? It's hard. To make matter worse: the pool robot is a very easily scratched gloss plastic. So every time you miss the hole with the stick, you put a new scratch on it. See my attached picture, the robot is covered in scratches. Other small complaints: It doesn't climb my stairs at all. I need to brush my three pool width stairs to to the bottom of the pool prior to vacuuming if I want that stuff vacuumed. The rubber plug that sticks into the charging port routinely comes unplugged while it's vacuuming. It's attached the unit, so no worries if it getting lost. Just hopefully, there is not water entering through the port that would cause the unit to prematurely fail. I may update if and when the unit eventually fails. I suspect it will last longer than one year and less than two years. I suggest considering purchasing an additional warranty if you are into those kind of things. Conclusion: Good for the money. Cleans well. Has some minor quarks. Fishing it out of the pool may be a deal breaker to some (but that applies to all wireless units - minus the poor choice of colors here). ... show more
